RGUHS Begins Online Classes from August 17 for its Affiliated Colleges


Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has recently declared beginning online classes for Medical, Dental, Ayush, Pharmacy, Nursing and Physiotherapy students.

RGUHS has issued an official notification in this regard that states online classes will begin from August 17, 2020.

Considering the uncertainty thrown in due to the pandemic situation, it will promote students to next semester (3rd, 5th and 7th) of the following academic year (2nd, 3rd, 4th) of Medical, Dental, Homeopathy at RGUHS affiliated colleges.

As of now, students of Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, Dental, Unani, Naturopathy, Nursing and Physiotherapy have to attend online classes from august 17.

However, students need to clear exams of previous semesters when they are held. Attendance particulars as in Reference (1), will be sent to individual email IDs in a weekly and monthly consolidated statement.

The notification reads, “All Principals are also instructed to strictly follow the University's instructions that the students must obtain eligibility from the institution, by attending online classes before appearing for University examinations.”

The notification further elaborates to Principals of colleges to ensure students gain eligibility by attending online classes before appearing in University exams.

All the Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, AYUSH and Physiotherapy Colleges have to conduct internal assessment and practicals in online mode until regular classes begin.

The notification was directed to Deans/Principals/Directors of colleges affiliated with RGUHS Bangalore.
