SIBM Pune Gets the Ball Rolling for MBA, MBA(I&E) and MBA(L&S) 2020-22 Batch

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune has started the virtual onboarding for MBA, MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and MBA in Leadership & Strategy.

The formally inducted induction was attended by all the SIBM Pune faculty members, staff, and also the incoming students. The induction program will continue from July 16, 2020 to July 31, 2020.

On Day one of the induction events, Students were addressed by SIBM Pune Director and Dean, Faculty of Management, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman.

The keynote address was given by the CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Mr. Prakash Wakankar. Thereafter, a Q&A session was held, where students got inspirational answers. Some of the eminent alumni of SIBM Pune were also awarded in the induction event. The incoming batch received well wishes from the SIBM Pune fraternity.

The Best Alumnus of 2020 was bagged by Mr. Amit Chincholikar, Global CHRO of Tata Consumer Products, and Mr. Deepayan Sen Sharma, Director HR at Marsh and McLennan Companies.

The Best Alumna Achiever of 2020 was awarded to Ms. Pallavi Tyagi, EVP, and CHRO at Capgemini and Ms. Nidhi Jain, Director Corporate HR leader at Ernst & Young. While the Best Alumnus Achiever of 2020 was conferred to Mr. Sankalp Potbhare, Chief Commercial Officer- Asia at the Kraft Heinz Company and Mr. Vinay Dehpande.

Ms. Sarita Chand, Founder of India AI Foundation, grabbed an award for Best Alumnus Entrepreneur of 2020.

Late Ms. Chitralekha Pati Gold Medal has been initiated by her husband Mr. Abhishek Bharati and is awarded to the student who gets the highest CGPA in the MBA program- HR specialization. The medal will be presented from 2019-20 for the next consecutive 10 years i.e. up to 2029. Joycee Khanna, topper of MBA HR 2018-20, received the annual Ms. Chitralekha Pati Gold Medal.

SIBM Pune's induction program is yet to witness several industry staunch like Mr. Rajat Mathur, MD at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Sanjiv Navangul, Director and CEO at Bharat Serums and Vaccines, Mr. Jatin Panchal, Sales Director at Danone, and many more. These business leaders will help the students attain a real-world insight of corporate in their journey of leaders of tomorrow.

SIBM Pune was ranked 18th among all the B-Schools of India as per NIRF 2018 ranking and has also received 'Gold' star by the QS Star University Rating in 2018.
