TANCA 2020: Merit List Released for GATE, TANCET Candidates; Check Here

November 23, 2020: Anna University has released the TANCA 2020 Merit List for GATE and TANCET candidates on its official website: tanca.annauniv.edu now.  Earlier, the university also published the TANCA Rank List in pdf form @annauniv.edu. Candidates who have applied for Tamil Nadu Common Admission can check their merit list below.

Candidates need to enter their credentials to log in to their respective portals and the ranks are allotted based on the marks scored by candidates in GATE/ TANCET.

Anna University will call candidates on the basis of the rank for the counselling process to get admitted into M.Plan. /M.Tech. /M.Arch. /M.E. As of now, candidates can raise objections against Merit List by November 28, 2020.

TANCA 2020: How to Check Merit List?

Follow the steps mentioned below to check the TANCA 2020 merit list:

1. Visit the official website: annauniv.edu.
2. Click the “TANCA 2020- GATE/TANCET merit list” link.
3. Enter name, application no., date of birth, and email id.
4. Click on the “Submit” button.
5. TANCA 2020 merit list will be displayed on the screen. Download it for future reference.

TANCA 2020: How is the Rank List prepared?

The candidate is required to submit the GATE/ TANCET score while submitting the application form. The University prepares the merit list based on the following criteria-

• GATE (Engineering/ Technology) - On the basis of the GATE score in the appropriate programme, the rank list is prepared. The ones who qualify for the cut-off score will be called for the counselling process.
• GATE (Life Sciences-XL/ Engineering Sciences-XE) - Merit list is prepared on the basis of both TANCET and GATE score and the weightage of the scores is 30:70 respectively.
• TANCET - On the basis of the TANCET score the merit list is prepared. The tie-breaking criteria for the ones with the same score is that the one who got higher marks in the qualifying exam will be considered for the higher rank.

TANCA 2020: How to check rank list?

To check your rank, you can follow the steps mentioned below-

STEP 1 - Visit the official website via - @annauniv.edu.

STEP 2 - Fill in your user Id and password in the login portal

STEP 3 - Click on the Rank Link Tab on the page.

STEP 4 - The rank list will appear on the screen, download it for future reference.

Candidates will be called on the basis of their rank for the counselling process and they have to reach the centre chosen by them in the application form with their respective documents.

After the documents are verified, seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates as per the rank and availability of seats.

The candidates who are allotted the seats have to pay the counselling fee in the form of DD at the time of Counselling.
