University of Hyderabad has released its semester registration notification on Aug 11. The students in Integrated Post Graduate and Post Graduate courses need to fill up the registration to continue to the next semester.
The students of UoH need to submit the duly filled form for their July-Dec Semester exams to the university through a e-governance portal between August 17 and August 29. The University has taken this decision in spite of various protests by students’ bodies.

The notification read that, “ Because of the continuing rise in cases of COVID-19 ib Hyderabad and elsewhere in the country, despite the registrations, all students are advised to be at home. They will not return to the campus until further notice.”
The students who will not be able to submit the registration form or fees due to the current situation, need to clear the hostel dues first. Then they would need to submit a declaration that they will pay their semester registration fees in the next semester.

The Students Union at University of Hyderabad has protested against this decision of the university. They are of the concern that students without proper technological means and connectivity ill not be able to register for the next semester. As a solution, they have suggested that the University Controller of Examination develop a mechanism that will automatically register all the students of the previous semester to the next semester.
