UPSEE 2020 Allows Students with High Temperature to Take the Exam in Isolation Room


Candidates identified with fever while appearing for UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) will be allowed to take the examination in an isolation room.

UPSEE is scheduled on September 20, 2020 and will be conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).

UPSEE took this decision in the second meeting of the central exam committee. The authorities have mandated for all the supervisors to wear the PPE kit while supervising the examination in the isolation room.

UPSEE Coordinator Prof. Vineet Kansal said, "Candidates whose body temperature will be more than 99.4 F in the thermal scanning at the examination centre, will be re-scanned after 15 minutes. In case the temperature again turns out to be more than 99.4 F, they have to take the exam in an isolation room."

All the precautionary measures like social distancing, thermal scanning and proper sanitization will be followed at all the 206 examination centres of UPSEE 2020. More than 1.60 lakh candidates will be appearing for the examination this year.

UPSEE 2020 Schedule

The offline exam scheduled on September 20 will be held in three different shifts which are as follows:

  • 9:00 am to 11:00 am
  • 12 noon to 3:00 pm
  • 3:45 pm to 6:15 pm
