UPSEE 2020 Paper I: Most Student Found it Easier than JEE(Main) 2020 & BITSAT 2020; Read Full Story


UPSEE 2020 Paper 1 (BE / BTech) was successfully conducted in offline mode on 20 September 2020. This article presents the Student Review of UPSEE 2020 for Paper 1 of the candidates who took the exam.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow concluded UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) 2020 on 20 September.

The exam was held in offline mode at different course shifts in 57 cities across India.

The authorities have taken precautionary measures for COVID-19 to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Paper 1 (BTech) was held in the second shift of the day from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

UPSEE 2020 Paper 1 for the BE/BTech course is a three-hour offline test with 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

The UPSEE 2020 Question Paper consists of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, proper social distances were maintained at each of the examination centres in order to avoid overcrowding.

The gates of the test centre were kept closed, and only candidates reporting to the test centre were allowed to enter.

Upon completion of the exam at 3 p.m., candidates were allowed to move out in an orderly manner, one student at a time.

Students followed safety protocols by wearing masks and following social distances at the exam centres.

Highlights of UPSEE 2020 Paper I

  1. The difficulty level of the UPSEE 2020 exam was good.
  2. The UPSEE 2020 paper was relatively easier than the BITSAT and JEE Main September exams.
  3. Physics Section was of the same level as that of JEE Main Level
  4. According to the students, the chemistry section was the easiest of all three papers.

UPSEE 2020 Students Reaction and Reviews

Most of the students who took the exam found that UPSEE 2020 paper 1 (BTech) was easier than JEE Main 2020 and BITSAT 2020 examinations.

The overall difficulty level was moderate. However, few students said that Mathematics was tough and that some paper on Chemistry and Physics was difficult.

Students said that the question paper could easily be tried within three hours, as the questions were straight forward and not tricky.

Piyush Sharma, who took the test, said the UPSEE 2020 paper was easier than the other entrance tests. He also appeared in the BITSAT and JEE Main Exams.

According to him, the Chemistry section was easier than the Physics and Mathematics section.

Another UPSEE 2020 candidate, Priyanshi, found the overall paper to be moderate, but the Chemistry Question Paper was tough among the three subjects.

However, according to her, if the students had studied properly, the test could easily be cleared.

Priya, who took the test today, found the paper to be easy compared to other entrance examinations.

According to her, the subject of mathematics was difficult and lengthy, but could easily be completed within a given timeframe.

She also mentioned that she had enough time to prepare for the examination because of the COVID-19 lockdown and postponement of the examination, and therefore she expected good results.

Rohan, another aspirant, said that the Chemistry and Mathematics section was the easiest.

Physics was at JEE Main level. The overall paper was moderate in terms of difficulty. He said that it's easy to try all the questions in three hours.
