Uttarakhand: Virtual Classrooms for Class 10, 12 Students to Begin from Dec 2, Check Details Here


The Uttarakhand government is ready to begin virtual classrooms for students of Class 10 and Class 12 from December 2, 2020, onwards, without any further delay. This decision was taken after the meeting of state education department officials was held on Friday.

Additionally, as per the state officials, online classrooms for JEE 2021 and NEET 2021 coaching will also be conducted every Saturday and Sunday.

This was decided after the COVID-19 cases have started to decrease in the Uttarakhand state. As per the State Health Ministry official data released on Friday, there are 4,812 active COVID-19 cases in the state of Uttarakhand.

Moreover, the COVID-19 recovery rate in Uttarakhand is over 90.93 per cent.

Apart from this, schools and pre-university colleges will not reopen in Karnataka in December. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar said at a press conference on Monday that the department had taken this decision in the interest of students.

While Maharashtra Schools were allowed to reopen for the first time on November 23, 2020. In which, out of the total enrolled students in Maharashtra, only 5% attendance was recorded in the schools on day-1.
