VIT 2020 Admissions: The candidates aspiring to take admissions in B.Tech. Programme in Vellore Institute of Technology can now use their JEE Main or SAT Score as well.
Thus, the students are not bound to appear for VITEEE for admissions in VIT and can now take admissions via JEE Mains or SAT score. VIT Chennai in its admission brochure for B.Tech admission 2021 has mentioned that candidates with eligible JEE Main or Scholastic Aptitude Test - SAT scores will also be considered for admission in VIT.
The changes in the admission eligibility criteria will be applicable to all the campuses of VIT i.e. the campuses situated in Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Bhopal.

VIT 2020 Admissions: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates aspiring to take admissions into VIT Vellore must satisfy the points mentioned below-
- The candidates must have passed or shall be appearing for the 10+2/ Intermediate exam in the year 2021 from CBSE/ ICSE border any other recognized board or University.
- Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for the UG programmes in VIT but they must have produced the Migration cum Transfer certificate at the time of joining.

VIT 2020 Admissions: Documents required
The candidates will have to upload the following documents at the time of application -
- Hall Ticket of Class 12.
- Class 12 Mark Sheet.
- Eligible JEE Score Card.
- Aadhar Card.
Admission process for B.Tech. programme 2021 in VIT has started from November 30, 2020. The application form is available online on the official website - @viteee.vit.ac.in. The exam will be conducted in April and the application process will end on March 30, 2021.
