However, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi stated that JEE Main 2021 will be based on the reduced CBSE syllabus.

Almost 30% of the syllabus has been reduced for CBSE, and JEE Main 2021 applicants can start preparing as per the revised syllabus. The official JEE Main 2021 syllabus will soon be released.

Recently, MHRD has asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to reduce the syllabus for classes IX to XII by 30% to minimise the course load.

This has given students more time to prepare for the JEE Main 2020 exam. However, the students are wondering whether or not the JEE Main 2021 syllabus will be reduced.

According to the Collegedunia engineering experts, it seems highly unlikely that NTA will omit important chapters or topics from the existing JEE Main 2021 exam syllabus.

From the point of view of the Exam Conducting Body, it is a more viable option to keep the JEE Main 2021 syllabus almost similar instead of trimming and truncating it, which could create a ruckus among JEE Main 2021 aspirants, especially in the knowledge that they will not be able to join physical preparatory sessions and that most of their preparations need to be made online.

However, the CollegeDekho experts do not completely rule out the possibility of a trimmed JEE Main 2021 syllabus covering only those subjects with the maximum weighting.

For the time being, the experts suggest that 2021 JEE Main aspirants start preparing for the test at the earliest opportunity to have a good chance of cracking the test with the help of the syllabus prescribed for the 2020 JEE Main Exam.
