One of my cousins is a part of Chandigarh University, Gharuan, and as per what she mentions, here is a brief rundown,

  1. You will be part of several events, electric concerts, seminars, and exceptional moot courts.
  2. The placement report is also extremely robust for the university. According to recent records, about 80 to 85% of students secure placement at big companies such as Google Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, and more. Moreover, the highest salary package recorded is INR 36 LPA, while INR 8 LPA being the average.
  3. The faculty members are equally unmatched since they lay the basic foundation of content taught in class, alongside conducting important events, competitions, and project works.
  4. Chandigarh University is renowned for designing the best course curriculum as per the current industrial needs. It becomes modified because of the case-based learning modules and real-life applications.
  5. Chandigarh University is a professionally driven institute known best for its renowned academicians and senior student cell.
  6. The ROI is the most beneficial of all. With an affordable fee structure, multiple career opportunities, and several in-hand offers, Chandigarh University offers 6.5 times the ROI, the highest in the community as opposed to various IITs, NITs, and IIMs.

Thus, it is best to choose Chandigarh University, despite having other choices in the same location.

Which college is better for a BTech ECE CGC: Landran or Chandigarh University?

AS
Aditi Sharma Posted On : March 22nd, 2023
Studied Chandigarh University (2018)

When it comes to selecting a college, it's important to consider various factors such as the curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, location, and placement opportunities. If you are considering CGC and CU Gharuan, you may want to take note of the following information.

CGC is affiliated with Punjab Technical University (PTU), whereas CU Gharuan is a university in itself. While being affiliated with PTU has its advantages, such as following a standardized curriculum and receiving recognition from the university, it's important to note that not all colleges under PTU may be of the same standard.

On the other hand, CU Gharuan is a recognized university that offers a range of courses across different fields. The university has its own faculty, infrastructure, and curriculum that is designed to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.

When it comes to placements, both CGC and CU Gharuan have a dedicated placement cell that assists students in finding job opportunities. However, it's important to note that placement outcomes are not solely dependent on the college, but also on various other factors such as the student's skills, interests, and abilities, and the industry requirements.

While some colleges under PTU may not have a good reputation, it's not fair to generalize and say that all colleges under PTU are of no use. Similarly, while CU Gharuan may be a good option for some students, it may not be the best option for everyone. It's important to thoroughly research and consider all the factors before making a decision.

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Chandigarh University?

AB
Anna Bose Posted On : October 4th, 2021
BCA from Chandigarh University (2022)

According to one of my friends who studied at Chandigarh University, the pressure of studies will be lower until your first year. As the number of semesters increases, the pressure of studies and placements will increase.

Some important tips for your first year at CU are:

  • Your first priority should be your studies.
  • Many seniors may tell you that the CGPA you acquire is not important and that you should pursue your passion instead. But it is not true.
  • In the end, your academic score and skills will matter the most.
  • Join some university clubs while you're studying, as there are plenty at Chandigarh University.
  • This will boost your self-esteem and improve your abilities.
  • Never meddle with your professors as they could have bad results.
  • If you don't pay your fees on time, you'll never know how much you'll have to pay in fines.
  • The University charges hefty amounts as a fine for late fee payments.
  • If you wish to borrow a book from the library for six months, you must have at least an 8.0 CGPA; otherwise, you can only borrow books for five days.

One thing you should always remember is to take good care of your ID Card. As if you lose it, you'll have to pay a fee of INR 1000 rupees. Overall try to enjoy these first years as gradually it will get tougher.

Chandigarh University is the better choice among these two.

  • CU has a great pool of teachers. The faculties are well-experienced. You can also ask for their help any time you need it.
  • The management on campus is great. It is one of the safest campuses in North India. Ragging is strictly prohibited on campus.
  • Chandigarh University Placement - CU is conducting its 2022 placement drive. More than 757 recruiters have made around 7500 placement offers. The highest CTC offered this year is 52.11 LPA.

But CU has a strict 75% attendance policy. You will need to attend classes regularly, as there is no poxy policy.

Chandigarh University is any day better than Galgotias University. The faculties at CU are great. Although most faculties don’t have much experience, they are well qualified and cooperative.

The placement training regime at CU is great. Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements. Around 20-25, IT companies visit CU each year for recruiting students. Overall, in terms of placement and faculties, CU is better than Galgotias.

Which one is better for MBA, Chitkara or Chandigarh University?

AB
Ayush Bansal Posted On : November 10th, 2021
studied MBA Business Analytics & Marketing at Chandigarh University (2021)

Chitkara and Chandigarh University are great options for doing a B.Tech. For MBA, you should not consider these institutes. After completing your degree from these institutes, you won’t be able to get decent job options, unless you have a master’s degree from reputed universities.

Try to get into Govt. colleges. If you are an engineer, try to improve your skills, make projects, and try to get jobs at MNCs. If you are from a general background, it’s better to prepare for CAT.
