CSE from VIT Vellore is the better option. In fact, after IIITs and BITS, it is considered best for the CS domain.

If you have a good command over Data Structure, Algorithm Design, and a bit of competitive coding, you can easily bag lucrative salary packages from reputed companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. According to the placement highlights of recent years, VIT Vellore CSE average CTC stays around INR 7 LPA.

Which is better: IMT Ghaziabad for marketing or XIMB?

AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : May 5th, 2022
lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

For Marketing, IMT Ghaziabad is a slightly better choice. Around 40% of students got placed in the marketing sector during IMT Ghaziabad placements 2022. While the percentage of students getting placed in the marketing sector at XIMB is 14% only. According to the placement highlights, 7% of students from IMTG were recruited in FMCG sector. For XLRI, the corresponding figure was 4%.

Adobe, Accenture, HCL, Barclays, etc. are some of the major recruiters in the marketing domain at IMTG.

XIMB batch profile includes mostly engineers and almost 50% of the batch strength is from one state. So, there’s a lack of diversity and the networking opportunities are limited. Whereas, for IMTG, around 52% of the batch are from a non-engineering background and the students are from all across the country.

IMT Ghaziabad enjoys a locational advantage as well. Since it is located at the industrial hub of Delhi NCR.

IGNOU is best for distance learning MBA. IGNOU MBA course structure is pretty good. You will get to learn the basics first then the main concepts. The study materials are good and make the learning process smooth. IGNOU also has a better reputation.

Symbiosis Pune is also a good option for MBA. You can choose one of these two options based on fee structure and eligibility.

Everyone says K J Somaiya is better than TAPMI in all terms. Still, TAPMI is ahead of K J in rankings by almost every magazine or site. Why?

DK
Divya Kaur Posted On : July 8th, 2021
Studied PGDM from T. A. Pai Management Institute (2011)

TAPMI is considered to be much better than K J Somaiya. I can say this because my brother has completed his education from TAPMI and I have some friends who have studied in K J Somaiya.

  • TAPMI has been AACSB accredited for the past few years now. It's not that simple for colleges to attain and maintain that accreditation. TAPMI is ahead in rankings because it deserves to be ranked above K J Somaiya.
  • K J Somaiya provides courses for a lesser amount of money as compared to TAPMI and this is one of the major reasons why people tend to get confused between TAPMI and K J Somaiya.
  • Both K J Somaiya and TAPMI are considered to be Tier 2 colleges in India. TAPMI has been able to make students good leaders.
  • The only advantage that K J Somaiya has over TAPMI is the location. K J Somaiya is situated In Mumbai which can be of great benefit for many students.
  • TAPMI has helped over 400 students to get placed every year. The average package offered by companies to students of TAPMI comes around to be INR 10.6 Lakhs per annum. Some top recruiters of TAPMI include Deloitte, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
  • The campus and infrastructure of TAPMI are also a lot better than K J Somaiya.

Hence, TAPMI is better than K J Somaiya and deserves a better ranking in magazines and websites.

Both SIBM Pune and NMIMS are reputed colleges that have been established for years and have a great placement record, ensuring a promising career. It's worth noting that each B-school offers a flagship course that forms the institute's USP.

Sales and Marketing is an industry that offers plenty of opportunities and serves as the backbone of any business. The Sales division ensures that the product reaches every single consumer, while the Marketing division ensures that the consumer understands why to choose a particular brand. If you're considering marketing as a specialization, SIBM Pune is an excellent choice with a well-structured marketing course and a 100% placement record. SIBM Pune's marketing batches have bagged dream roles from companies like Asian Paints, Britannia, GSK CH, HCCB, Nestle, and Pidilite Industries, making it a preferred hiring destination for FMCG organizations.

If you're looking for the highest CTC, then NMIMS Marketing is an excellent choice, with the Highest CTC of INR 57.65 LPA. The Average CTC is INR 23.07 LPA, and there are 38 new recruiters, with a total of 130 recruiters. The Top 50 CTC is INR 35.03 LPA, while the Top 120 CTC is INR 30.16 LPA.

In terms of SIBM Marketing Placement Reports, the highest CTC for a student was INR 45.50 LPA, which is a significant increase of 49.77% from last year. The average CTC was INR 23.06 LPA, a 17.89% rise from last year.

It's important to note that both colleges have their advantages and disadvantages, and it's up to you to decide which one suits your needs better. You can consider factors such as course structure, faculty, alumni network, location, and fees before making a decision. Additionally, speaking to current students, alumni, and faculty members can provide valuable insights that can help you make an informed decision.
