Without a doubt, CU's degree is more valuable than CGC's (Landran) because CU has been awarded the prestigious A+ grade by NAAC. Both CU and CGC are governed by the same management and share the same goal of achieving global recognition by providing a quality teaching-learning environment. Nonetheless, CU has emerged as a distinguished institute committed to providing quality education in a short period of time and has been ranked by WCRC as one of Asia's Best & Fastest Growing Private Universities. The Btech in CSE program at Chandigarh University focuses on research-based learning and covers a variety of topics in hardware, software, data management, and design. Moreover, among India's private universities, only CU offers 100% merit-based scholarships.

Chandigarh University's (CU) placement cell, also known as CU-TBI, is comparable to IITs and NITs. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Paytm, Flipkart, Infosys, Oracle, Cognizant, DELL, Wipro, HP, and many others hire Chandigarh University students. Students can also participate in an international student exchange program. From the start of the academic year, the University has inspired students to bring new ideas to fruition. So, not only is CU the best place to get a job, but it will also help you advance in your career through lectures, seminars, internships, and other opportunities.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) is a private institute located at Landran in Chandigarh. Chandigarh University (CU) is a private university located at the Ludhiana – Chandigarh highway.

Both offer a B.Tech in CSE, so let us compare both of them in detail –

  • Advertising – You can spot Chandigarh University advertisements on various media platforms than that of CGC. It does not matter in the end but it does affect the mentality of the prospective students. Seeing this, CGC has a better perception.
  • Scholarship – Chandigarh University offers a straight 50% reduction in fee if you have scored more than 9.6 CGPA in your class 10th boards. However, the remaining fee is still equal to that of CGC (Landran). If you have scored less the fee at Chandigarh University will be practically double that of CGC.
  • Placements – Both the colleges perform a joint placement program for their students. Chandigarh University boasts its highest salary of 36 LPA for its B.Tech programs in the year 2020-21. While CGC received the highest salary of 35 LPA. Both are almost even in this parameter and the process is also held combined. Thus it should not be a deciding factor.

Looking at all these we can safely conclude that a degree from CGC (Landran) is more valuable than that from Chandigarh University (CU).
