IIM Udaipur

IIM Udaipur is a prestigious and exceptional institute that offers a comprehensive MBA program. IIM Udaipur is one of the 20 IIMs that have been established in India. The institute, which was founded in 2011, is located on 300 acres of land in the picturesque city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The beautiful city of Udaipur provides an ideal backdrop of heritage and history for the institute to make a distinct mark in the region's management education. AACSB-accredited, the institute currently offers a two-year full-time MBA program, two one-year MBA programs, and a doctoral program in management.

IIMU's infrastructure is excellent, with Wi-Fi available throughout the campus. Every cluster has Wi-Fi, and students have access to a well-equipped library as well as online library resources. On campus, there is also a gymnasium and medical services.

The MBA class of 2022 had a 100% placement rate, with 315 students participating in the placement drive. The highest CTC for the MBA class of 2022 was INR 35 LPA, while the average CTC was INR 17.5 LPA. Among the top recruiters who visited the campus were Goldman Sachs, Amazon, ICICI Bank, Pidilite, and Cisco Systems. Among the many positions available to students were product management, general management, sales, and marketing.

MBA, IIM Bangalore (2018)

My friend is a student at IIM Udaipur, and he didn’t have a good experience at the institute. Here are some of the things that he shared with me.

  • Your seniors will force you to absorb the 6 basic values of IIM Udaipur from the beginning of your adventure at IIM Udaipur. You could ask if these ideals are truly essential to the institute, but the truth is that they are merely six random words posted on the IIMU website.
  • There are some persons who will rise to positions of power, such as THOR (The House of Representatives), and they seem to believe no rules apply to them. This is true of the entire Council of Student Affairs, which includes the General Secretary, THOR, and Senate.
  • Then there are your clubs and committees to consider. Induction techniques will be used to welcome you into these groups and committees. Then, at the end of your first year, they will conduct peer reviews and dismiss some members of the club for no apparent reason.
  • You will have a hard time understanding the buzz surrounding the marquee events, such as Solaris and Audacity because the festivities are no different than any other college fest, and there's nothing exceptional about them. All of the important leadership roles will eventually be taken by couples or people who are already a part of at least a single organization with some authority (THOR, Senate, Placecomm, etc.).

These are some of the things that contributed to my friend’s not-so-pleasant experience at the institute.
