Having known some people studying in both these colleges, I can say that both RVCE and Thapar University are equal in many aspects.
If I have to point out differences then the academics, course curriculum and faculty are better in Thapar than RVCE.
Placements wise RVCE gets the benefit of its location, being in Bengaluru and therefore lots of companies visit there. Students are provided with industry visits, seminars and internships.
Even though the placement cell of Thapar University manages quite a lot of firms, the opportunities are more in RVCE, Bengaluru.
