Which should I choose SMS Jaipur or AIIMS Jodhpur? Why?
You should choose AIIMS Jodhpur. Though established recently, it offers better academics compared to other state medical colleges such as SMS Jaipur.
AIIMS Jodhpur offers good resources and facilities to students. Students are assigned individual rooms. There’s a central library and an e-library. The campus has sports grounds and various courts.
Academics offered at AIIMS Jodhpur are research-oriented. Being an autonomous institute, it has the freedom to update its curriculum and academics.

I have friends from both SMS Jaipur and AIIMS Jodhpur. Based on the reviews I got from my friends I will suggest that you choose the latter. The reasons are given below.
- Although AIIMS Jodhpur has been established recently, academics offered there are unparalleled as compared to state medical colleges such as SMS Jaipur.
- For UG students, AIIMS Jodhpur offers great facilities. The research environment at the campus is quite good too.
- AIIMS Jodhpur is an Institute of National Interest. It is also autonomous. So, they can easily update their curriculums. SMS Jaipur is not autonomous, as a result, the curriculum and academics are not updated regularly.
Based on all these factors, it is safe to say that AIIMS Jodhpur will definitely be a better option.
