Here are some possible reasons that can be ascribed to the lower rank of Jammu University.

  • The quality of education offered by the university needs improvement.
  • The university needs to provide proper guidance and counseling to students regarding placements and internships.
  • Lake of proper administration is another contributing factor.
  • Kashmir University has a better faculty base compared to Jammu University.

These are the major reasons why Jammu University falls behind Kashmir University.

B.E. Computer Science & Android Application Development, University of Jammu

I have a few friends from Jammu University. They had a decent experience with the university. According to them, it is a good university to pursue your degree. The curriculum followed at the university is updated and revised. However, there are a few issues that the university should work on.

  • The quality of education offered at the university can be improved.
  • Skill development courses and counseling should be a part of the curriculum, right from the start of the degree.
  • Almost every training center takes in a maximum number of students and charges a huge amount but fails to deliver. This is a waste of time and money. You need to be aware of that.
  • I have a few friends from the Computer Science discipline and according to them, there is a lot of confusion regarding which courses to opt for and placements. There should be proper counseling.

So, overall, Jammu University is good. But there are certain areas that can be improved. If you are opting for the institute, don’t depend entirely on the campus placements. Take competitive examinations like AMCAT or eLitmus and seek job opportunities on your own.
