Should I do IT at IIITM or BIT Mesra?

IT & CS are by far two most lucrative domains of engineering. But, their returns truly depend on the institution and the subject you pursue. So, the decision cannot be specified to a single institute. 

Certain things make BIT MESRA a favourable option although it has its own limitations. The points of prospects that can be focussed are :

• They offer great exposure when it comes to learning hands-on experience on coding through its clubs and competitions. The seniors also make it a cooperative association.
• Top software companies participate in the placement program. International offers also provide great packages.
• The data regarding placements is becoming a lot more important to analyse.

The infrastructural facilities are quite good. The campus provides good accommodation facilities with well equipped facilities like central library, central instrumentation facility, health care , hostel and transport.

The other side of coin can also probably be an issue, as Mesra Ranchi is not a location everybody prefers due to its constraints. A deterrent factor can also be the managerial procedures which are quite high handed leading to dissatisfaction. So overall The institute offers you both positive and negative points to look upon and decide for yourself.
