As a student, and having friends at IIT Gandhinagar, quite frankly giving an explicit and direct comparison between both the institutes is not quite possible. Nevertheless, there are certain plans for internships that have to be carried out at IIT Gandhinagar.
You must be aware of the fact that the accommodation and hospitality provided to the interns are free of cost. And all the interns here are given such an experience through and through here. From fun DJ nights, games and sports tournaments, happy hours-everything is carried out so that the interns carry a fulfilling experience with them back home.
As projects are concerned, your progress would be observed each day closely by the Professors. And you would be required to submit your reports every day demonstrating your progress. A grand infrastructure which includes an excellent library facility. Wifi is available 24*7. The hostel rooms are clean and comfortable.
Having said that we all wish you would, by all means, have the time of your life at IIT Gandhinagar.
