During the 2022 placement season at IIT Delhi, B.Tech graduates received an average package of around 16-17 LPA. However, the actual package offered can vary greatly depending on several factors such as the student's branch, academic performance, skills, and the hiring company. Students from popular branches such as computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering have been known to receive much higher packages in the range of 30-40 lakhs per annum or even more.

On the other hand, some students from less popular branches may receive lower packages in the range of 8-10 lakhs per annum. While the package offered is a significant factor, students must also consider other aspects such as the job role, work culture, and growth opportunities while selecting a company.

IIT Delhi has a great placement record. A number of top companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Uber, Google, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys, Qualcomm, Intel, etc recruit students from IIT Delhi. In 2019, the institute received 782 job offers, including186 PPOs.Microsoftprovided job offers to30 students, including two international offers. The average package at the institute is around 16 lakh per annum. Also, there has been a 15% increase in the number of companies visiting the campus for recruitment.

IIT Delhi provides placements in many sectors. Students are offered a variety of job profiles in different sectors such as Analytics, Consulting, Core, Finance, Management, Information Technology, and Research, etc. Core and IT Sectors are the sectors that offer the most offers, with 28% and 26% offers respectively.
