You should aim for FMS and XLRI. These B-Schools don’t assign much weight to past academics and if you score well in the entrance examination, you will have a good chance of getting a shortlist.
If you score around 99+ in CAT, you should get a call from FMS. Performing well in extempore and PI will give a decent chance of converting the call. Scoring 99+ percentile in XAT and performing well in the GD-PI round will give you a good chance of getting shortlisted for XLRI.
Rather than focusing on past academics, prepare well for the entrance examination.
If you are already working in an organization and have experience of 27-28 months, then your academics would definitely complement this. You will be prepared for pursuing MBA at an elite B-school.
I am here sharing the experience of my friends during their selection process at the mentioned institutions:
XLRI
FMS Delhi
For IIM ABC, each college has its own requirement and criteria selection but ensure that you have a strong CAT score. The top IIM is Ahmedabad.
Placements-wise, your academics could hinder your work but with work experience, you will probably get accepted by a lot of companies. They usually look at your complete profile. Make sure to have a volunteer experience and involve yourself in extra-curricular activities. It is always better to have resulted in quantitative than qualitative form.
