If you attend this college, you'll find that it caters to an expensive, cushy, rich crowd. However, whether or not you actually learn anything will be up to you, as the classes can be quite lax. You'll need to maintain 805 attendance, which is compulsory.

On the bright side, the teachers are good and there are decent placement opportunities, especially when compared to other colleges. There are also various opportunities available, but keep in mind that money talks here, so be prepared to fend for yourself. The course itself is okay, much like most engineering colleges, but the labs and equipment are good and the infrastructure is solid.

Overall, if you choose to attend this college, you'll find that it's like any good engineering college with a higher fee. Just remember to stay focused and take advantage of the resources available to you. With hard work and dedication, you can succeed and thrive in this environment.

Here is a review of one of my friends who attended NMIMS Mumbai.

Pros:

  • NMIMS holds a good and up-to-date Curriculum.
  • Even though most of the students come from rich family backgrounds, you won't feel left out, since many of the students here have a down-to-earth attitude.
  • The best part is there is No ragging, Not even a single case.
  • It offers good practical experience for the branches. The computer lab is well-equipped. The Civil and Mechanical department labs are also quite good.
  • Also, the syllabus is set to keep practical applications in mind, hence you start applying what you learn, to your major projects.
  • You will be trained to be industry-ready.
  • Most of the major recruiters prefer NMIMS students as they are trained to talk/behave professionally.
  • Also, Mumbai is the best place to start your “individual” life and the Nightlife there is great too.

 Cons:

  • NMIMS is an Expensive college.
  • The Living expenses are pretty high since you have to look for accommodation near Juhu/Andheri.

Join this college if and only if your family can really afford it.
