Choosing the right college is one of the most important decisions you'll make in your life. The college you choose will have a significant impact on your future career and personal growth. Therefore, it's essential to evaluate the pros and cons of any college you're considering. One such college is MPSTME, located in Mumbai, which offers several benefits for students.

Pros of MPSTME:

  • One of the most significant advantages of MPSTME is its location in Mumbai, which is a hub for various industries. This location provides ample opportunities for students to gain exposure and grow in their respective fields. The college's prime location in Juhu, an upscale locality, further adds to its appeal. It offers easy accessibility to various facilities and resources, including libraries, cafes, restaurants, and recreational centers.
  • MPSTME also boasts of a good faculty that is committed to imparting quality education.
  • The academic curriculum is on par with other top-tier engineering colleges in the country. Additionally, the college has a diverse student body that allows students to interact with peers from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • The university management system (UMS) is also efficient, making it easy for students to access information related to academics and other activities.

Cons of MPSTME:

  • One of the downsides of MPSTME is that the campus can be crowded, especially during peak hours. The college also has a strict attendance policy, with students required to maintain at least 75% attendance.
  • Another disadvantage is that the Wi-Fi speed can be slow at times, which can hinder students' academic work.

MPSTME is an excellent choice for students who want to gain exposure and grow in a diverse and dynamic city like Mumbai. However, it's important to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision. Overall, MPSTME's location, faculty, and academic curriculum make it a good choice for students who want to succeed in their careers.

I have a few friends who studied from here they told me a few things according to their experience-

Advantages-

  • You will save a year and there will be no hassle of CAT.
  • NMIMS branding will back you up.
  • The faculty is one of the best and takes effort. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified.
  • The Shirpur campus is very good. The infrastructure is good with air-conditioned classrooms. The Wi-Fi facility is available in the whole building.
  • Jumpstart - You would be one of the youngest when you are placed in a company.
  • You can interact with the best teachers coming from SBM.
  • There are many intra-college events like mun, intra-moot, Soloympics an intra-sports event that happens twice a year, Meraki our cultural fest, Parakram the sports fest, and NMMCOR national moot competition.

Disadvantages-

  • Not identified as an MBA at some places.
  • An MBA in Technology and the major (marketing/Finance/ops etc) can be confusing to a lot of recruiting companies.
  • Fees are exceptionally high.

You will see some rich brats shelling double the usual fees with management quota but that should not be your focus point. There are successful and hardworking students who graduated from NMIMS and own companies and startups, published authors, and a strong bunch of alumni working in the biggest corporates.

Particulars

NMIMS MPSTE

MBA Average Salary

8 LPA

B.Tech Average Salary

4.5 LPA

MBA Highest Salary

25 LPA

B.Tech Highest Salary

12.5 LPA

If you are finding better options in B.Tech then go for it and if MBA-Tech is your choice, then NMIMS seems like a good option because of the structure of the course.
