To apply for an M.Sc degree in Home Science, you need to fulfill some prerequisites in order to be eligible for this program. The Master of Science Home Science at Women’s Christian College is a postgraduate program that comprises various fields like society, nutrition development, Entrepreneurship, and many more areas. This course is solely based on family management, interior management, and communication techniques.

Suitability: This postgraduate course is highly suitable for candidates who want to develop a critical understanding of the study of Home Science. The MSc home science program covers a wider base of skills and knowledge and is better for the graduate who is sure about specific disciplines.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate must qualify for the following eligibility criteria to appear for the MSc home course:

  • Aspirants should have passed BSc 3 years degree after 10th and +2 with honors in home science and any other related home science.
  • BSc home science or BSc biology or BSc microbiology or some bachelor's degree with home science relatives.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent for general candidates and 45% for SC or St candidates.
  • There is no age limit for studying MSc home science.

Coming back to your profile, you have a background in Fashion Technology which is hardly related to Home Science. So your chances are pretty low unless a specific university deems you eligible for Master in Home Science.
