AIIMS Patna is the better option to opt for when compared to AIIMS Jodhpur. Check the following points for brief info:
AIIMS Patna has the best Biochemistry and Physiology labs with the best equipment and lab technicians.
There are well-maintained laboratory facilities along with the necessary equipment along with the wifi facility.
AIIMS Patna hostel rooms are well-equipped with water, electricity, and many other facilities.
The patient in-flow at AIIMS Patna is more than in Jodhpur which increases the exposure for medical students.
The PG seats of AIIMS Jodhpur are soon going to be allotted to AIIMS Patna, so you can have an edge. Also, the emergency is not functional yet at AIIMS Patna but soon going to be started effectively.
AIIMS Patna is the best option, however, some may reject it considering the environment in Bihar. But Patna is the education hub without any doubt where you can enjoy learning among the great minds of the country.
Choosing either Kirori Mal College or Shaheed Bhagat Singh College depends on your convenience and future plans. Both are quite reputed. I have a few friends from SBSC and their experience with the college has been great.
Here are some of the highlights of SBSC.
SBSC has a great placement record. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered was 3.5 lakhs and the highest CTC was 18 LPA.
The college has a number of societies and committees that you can join.
SBSC has the best Commerce department on the south campus. It is in fact among the top 10 Commerce departments in DU.
The student crowd is friendly.
The faculty members are great.
Overall, SBSC can be a decent option for pursuing your B.Com degree. However, you should always give preference to the course over college. So, choose the institute that offers a better program for your choice of course.
You should go for BITS Pilani, Jadavpur University is also a good choice but it entirely depends on your preference of environment and culture.
Following are some facts about BITS Pilani and why it will be a good choice.
There is no form of reservation based on state or caste, or donation admissions. Admissions are completely merit-based.
Attendance is not strict (except in labs).
It has a diverse student crowd.
The university offers 2 internships - a 2-months internship during the 2nd year and a 6-months internship in the 4th year.
Top students even get PPOs, recommendation letters for higher studies, etc.
Labs are great and are well equipped with modern machinery.
Mess food is decent compared to others. New hostels are great and have Wi-Fi. Therefore, accommodations are decent.
Students are also encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities for holistic development.
BITS Pilani has higher fees, the quality of education they provide is remarkable. As for fees, they provide a scholarship program called MCN, which is fairly easy to receive, and requires a family income of below 8 lakh. They also have a merit scholarship for this with an extremely good CGPA (above 9.5).
A friend of mine was in a similar condition a few years back and he choose Kirori Mal College for his B.Sc (Physical Science with CS). According to him, you should choose the course that interests you.
However, the computer science courses offered by DU can’t be compared to B.Tech. As the curriculum used at DU is not that great. However, the learning environment for Honors courses is better. It’s better to consider all your option and choose the one that suits your future goals.
Both Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College are quite reputed colleges. There are no such parameters to differentiate between these two. Both of these two institutes have good faculty bases. You will also get decent facilities to learn at these colleges.
The only significant factor that can be mentioned is that Kirori Mal has a NAAC A+ accreditation with a better grade as compared to Ramjas. However, it’s not wise to compare these two institutes based on grade. You will have decent opportunities at both. So, you can opt for any of these two based on your convenience.
It is difficult to compare AU with JNTUK. Both of these institutes are quite reputed in Andra Pradesh. Both have a few specific branches that are exceptionally good. AU has branches like Marine Engineering, that JNTUK doesn’t. There is a limited student intake in both institutions. For each branch, there are only 50 seats at both institutes.
The placement facilities are quite good. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at AU and JNTUK were 3.5 LPA and 4 LPA respectively. Both of these institutes also witnessed many IAS aspirants. So, you can choose either of these two institutes, based on your branch of choice.
This entirely depends on your preference. If you are interested in Computer Science then your goal should not only be CIC.
You can get into IIT, NIT, BITS, etc. which are also excellent in terms of CS. So, make your goal clear, as college is not the factor. Do not take a drop for just a college, take it only for CS, and no matter the institute, work hard to succeed in it.
If your interest lies in CIC then you should continue it. But keep in mind that you are from a commerce background, so it will not be easy for you to compete with other students of science background.
SVC is one of the best colleges of DU and your course is the most popular among students, so if you think to pursue your career further in commerce, SVC is really a good option.
Both Jadavpur University and ISM Dhanbad are reputed institutes. ISM was already quite reputed across India and after getting the IIT tag, the institute has improved quite significantly.
If you are getting branches like CSE/ECE at JU and offbeat branches at IIT ISM, then you should definitely choose JU.
Another advantage of choosing JU is the negligible fee. For a 4 year long B.Tech you will need to pay only around 10,000.
So, take these factors into consideration, and choose according to your convenience.
IIEST Shibpur and Jadavpur University both are quite reputed universities. Over the past few years, the former has improved a lot too. However, choosing JU for your CSE degree will be better. Also, you should note that IIEST offers integrated M.Tech courses.
Although IIEST Shibpur is quite reputed, its placement record is not comparable to that of JU. In the recent placement drive at JU, the placement average was 100%. The average CTC offered at the campus was 19 LPA. Apart from the placement, there are also great research opportunities at JU.
The transformation of IIEST from BESU, has been quite effective. With time, IIEST can even become better than JU. However, as of now, JU is the better alternative.
As one of my friends is a student of REVA University, I might be able to provide some information about it.
The faculty members of REVA University are extremely helpful and highly experienced in their particular field.
The environment here is very disciplined and has an excellent learning atmosphere.
The CS department organizes workshops for better learning.
The placement here is not the best but is improving very well. If proper education is provided the students will be able to secure a good job offer even in off-campus placements.
Considering hostels, REVA University has one of the well-maintained hostels in the country.
The food provided is good, healthy, and affordable.
Other facilities like a laundry facility are available at INR 100 per year.
But like everything else it has its flaws which bother the students. This includes the wifi facilities which are not great as in the hostels most of the times the connection is interrupted.
