Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates should be outstanding students who have made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion.

The students can apply even if they do not take services from the LA Tutors 123. Other Eligibility criteria that student must fulfill to gain benefits of Innovation in Education Scholarship are:

Applicant must be currently enrolled as high school or college or a university as a student situated in the U.S. or Canada.
The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or its equivalent.
The innovative creation of the Applicant must be involved in any kind of innovation creation whether it is a website, blog posts, an app, or anything similar
The essay provided by the applicant must accurately describe the goal of the project.
The applicant’s essay, idea or creation must be original.
Immediate family members of La Tutors staff are not eligible for the scholarship.

The applicant must apply before 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of every month.

Application Process

The applicant must meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship. He/she can then proceed to fill the application form for Innovation in Education Scholarship provided on the official website of LA TUTORS 123.

The applicant is required to provide his/her personal information like name, email address, phone number, and high school/college name.

An applicant is required to submit the following documents :

Essay: The essay should be personalized, indicate the goal of the project and its future prospective. Also, applicants must provide the link of the content if it is a blog or an app.
Letter Of Recommendation: It must evaluate the quality of the project.
Photograph of applicant: It should be taken during project execution and should be in JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF format only.

One must upload all the files at once by clicking on the ‘Upload Scholarship Documents’ button. The completed application must be submitted on the 20th of the particular month in which the student wishes to participate.

Selection Process

The selection process for Innovation in Education Scholarship involves evaluation on the grounds of creativity, innovation and user experience of the project. As the project is supposed to be a product of the imagination and technical skills of the applicant.

All the applications will be checked, assessed and reviewed by a panel of three judges, after the 20th of each month.

The judgment will be based on certain aspects like how well the project solves the problem, how the applicant presents his/her point of view, how the project strives to cultivate outcomes that are original and future-oriented.

All submissions must be uploaded no later than 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.

The submission window will remain closed after the 20th of every month and reopen on the 1st of next month at 8:00 a.m.

Scholarship winners will be contacted via email by LA TUTORS 123 and must respond within five days of the date of the email to accept the award. If no response is received within a given time, another recipient will be selected for the scholarship.

Grant Details

The company has the right to pass on the scholarship award to the next deserving candidate if no response is received within the given time period of five days.

LA TUTORS also reserves the right to feature photographs of winners of the scholarship. The successful applicant will receive the award amount of 500 USD through the mail. LA TUTORS 123 offers 12 scholarships in a year, one every month to the most innovative student.

Recipient of Innovation in Education Scholarship can use the award amount for payment of tuition fee school-related expenses like tuition fees, books, accommodation, etc.

The scholarship commends all those creative students who have developed or designed a project incredible enough to gain the award that would help them to minimize their financial burden to a certain extent.
