Studying at UCL

JM
7.5 /10

It was the one that suited my interest the best. When I finished my BA in Art Studies, I knew I wanted to specialise in Music Education. After intensively researching the MA programmes in various universities. I concluded that UCL was, undoubtedly, the one that would be able to suit my needs the best.

Course Curriculum :

Extremely adequate and well taught. Teachers are engaging and the course is outlined in a very organised manner. The lessons are characterized by a variety of pedagogical approaches, which makes the course really interesting and fulfilling.

Fees :

The fees totalise around 8500 and students must pay one-third of them during term 1, another third during term 2 and the final third at the beginning of term 3.

Examination Structure :

My MA assessment does not consist of exams. The modules are assessed through essays. Normally, these essays vary between 3500 words and 5000 words. The other component of assessment in my MA is the report (10000 words) or dissertation (20000 words) students need to have completed by the end of the school year.

Faculty :

I am going to give my opinion with regards to the faculty in what concerns its physical space. I currently study in the institute of education of UCL, which is ranked as the number 1 institution in the field of education. However, the IOE space doesn't make it justice. The classrooms equipment are far from being preserved.
