Manchester University was my clearing choice long with a university of east Anglia. Originally applied for dentistry at the University of Newcastle, but didn't manage the grades. But Manchester is a bigger city with more to do.
Course Curriculum :
Very challenging. Sometimes too much work for a first-year to catch up on. However, the course is very interesting as you're-learning about the functions of the human body and how it interacts with drugs
Placement :
They're good. Had 2 placements: one in MRI hospital and in a local pharmacy. They're interesting as you're able to look at all the drugs available and able to interact with patients with different medical conditions.
Fees :
Pay $9450 per year. There are no other charges except a pharmacy society which costs an extra $40 for the whole course
Examination Structure :
4 modules but examined on 3 modules each with 25 questions. So 75 marks with 40% pass mark on each module. They're multiple choice questions with 5 choices and correct answer only. We have 2 calculation exams each with 20 questions, 1 hour with 80% pass mark.
Faculty :
It's well established, but the pharmacy faculty could be better equipped. More money could be put into the facility to make the course more enjoyable as it looks quite dull
