How to Apply for JIPMER MBBS?

JIPMER Admission in the MBBS process are as follows:  

• Candidates can apply online through the official website of the college https://www.jipmer.edu.in/
• Applicants must sign up for NEET counselling, submit their NEET scores and rankings, and choose JIPMER as one of their options.
• After the selection process in the counselling rounds, candidates are allocated the JIPMER MBBS seats. 
• On Allocation, candidates are to pay the JIPMER MBBS Fees. 

Selection is done on the basis of NEET scores from the current year onwards. 

JIPMER B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be Indian citizens or NRI. Foreign national students have to take prior permission from the medical council of India.
• The applying candidate should be 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023.
• 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% and above.
• The minimum eligibility mark of class 12 for OBC/SC/ST is 40%. 
• The candidate must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, biology, and English in 10+2.

JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for JIPMER MD and MS are as follows:

• MD/MS: Candidates must have a qualified MBBS Degree / BDS (Dental) or another degree from any recognized University.
• M.Sc. (Nursing) - Candidates should have passed the BSc Nursing from any recognized institute or university.
• Medical biochemistry/ MLT microbiology: B.Sc in medical laboratory technology
• MLT-Pathology/Medical Physiology:  B.Sc Degree in Zoology. 
• MPH: Candidate must have qualified MBBS Degree / Medical courses / other courses from any recognized University with 50% scores.
• Candidate must have completed 12 months of internship.
• Candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks in aggregate for all categories including OBC/EWS (50% marks for SC/ST).
• Candidates who complete their internship after 31st Jan 2023 are not eligible for the exam.

JIPMER PG Selection Criteria

Selection is done on the basis of the rank obtained in the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET). 

How to Apply for JIPMER PG Admissions?

Here is the procedure to apply for JIPMER Admissions: 

• INI CET administered by AIIMS Delhi is required to be taken by eligible applicants.
• Register for the exam online. 
• Enter the details and upload the required documents - passport size photograph, signature, category certificate, Class 10th, and MBBS mark sheet.
• Submit the application fee.
• Subsequently, a merit list containing the INI CET results are made public.
• Candidates must meet the cutoff for the INI CET. 
• Qualified candidates further can participate in the counselling process. 
• Candidates on selection must pay for the necessary course fees after the seat allocation. 
• In case of delay, the admission seat will be declined. 

JIPMER provides candidates with PG diploma courses, a post-doctoral fellowship program (PDF) and Postdoctoral certification courses (PDCC). Interested candidates can apply to the courses by visiting the website of the institution. Course name, specialization, duration and intake are tabulated below: 

• PBD: B.Sc in Nursing or Staff Nurse experience of 1 year. 
• PGD/ PDF/Other Certificate Courses: Degree in MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, MSc/ M. Phil Medical Psychology from a recognized University.
• PDCC/PDF: Candidates qualified in MD/DNB, MCh/DNB (Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery) MS/DNB (Gynaecology Oncology) in the specialized field for which they are applying.
• Indian Nationals or Non-resident Indians are eligible.

JIPMER PDCC and PDF Selection Criteria

• PBD/ PGD/ PDF: Selection for admission is done through the INI-CET exam conducted by JIPMER every year. 
• Other Certificate Courses: Direct admission through the application. Limited seats are available.
• PDCC/PDF: Admissions will be given on the basis of the merit list published by the institution post the examination. (minimum qualifying marks 50%).
• PDCC/PDF: Candidates securing less than the minimum Percentage in the entrance exam will not be considered for admission.

JIPMER M.Ch. and DM Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for JIPMER M.Ch/ DM are as follows:

• Candidates should be Indian Nationals or NON-resident Indians. 
• Candidates should have passed M.D/DNB Degree from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.
• Must be registered with the Medical Registration Council.

JIPMER M.Ch. and DM Selection criteria

Selection for the DM / Master of Chirurgie (M.Ch) programs will be done on the basis of the JIPMER INI-Super-specialty entrance test (INI-SS) held every year.

Following is the process to apply for JIPMER M.Ch/ DM Programme: 

• Register and fill in the required details through the website of the college.

JIPMER PhD Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the JIPMER PhD degree must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Medical/ Nursing Qualification: MD from an MCI/NMC-recognized medical college/ MSc Nursing from an institution recognized by the INC. 
• Non-Medical Qualification: Master's degree (2 or 3-year programme) in the subject area approved by the UGC or an equivalent. 
• Applicants must have obtained at least 60% overall in the qualifying test (or 55% for candidates who are SC/ST/OBC/PPH). 
• Candidates who are anticipated to earn the necessary credentials and degrees by October 31, 2023, can apply. 
• Candidates who completed their Master's through a distance learning programme are not eligible.
• Candidates should have qualified for any of the entrance exams such as Joint CSIR-UGC NET and others.
• Applicants with fellowships equivalent to or similar to the ones listed above are eligible to apply.

JIPMER PhD Selection Criteria

Selection for the PhD course is done through the score/merit in the entrance exam conducted by JIPMER followed by viva voice.
