I have friends from both the University Institute of Technology Burdwan and Techno India Salt Lake, and according to their opinion, the latter is slightly better. Burdwan University: University Institute of Technology, Burdwan is a government-run engineering institute. The university is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and has NBA accreditation. It charges around 71,000 annually. The infrastructure of the institute is good. It has a huge campus. Library, playground, and hostels are on campus. The placement record is average. According to the recent placement highlights the highest CTC offered at the institute is 12-20 LPA, while the lowest stays in the range of 5-6 LPA. The industry exposure you will get on campus is also quite limited. As it is located pretty far away from the major industrial sectors located at Kolkata. Techno India: Techno India Salt Lake is a private college affiliated with WBUT. The total course fee at the institute is around 4.84 lakhs. It does not offer hostel facilities. Additionally, the campus is smaller in size. However, the academic environment at the institute is pretty commendable, unlike many other private engineering colleges. The placement percentage is about 80% to 90%. The average CTC offered is around 4-5 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is 12-14 LPA. The industrial exposure offered is average. After careful consideration, I would say that Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is the best among the others mentioned. Dayananda Sagar is now an autonomous college and there are a lot of facilities available for the students. The placement opportunities available are excellent. Many reputed companies visit the campus for interviews. Being located in Bangalore, it has a location advantage. Industry visits, seminars, and internships are plenty. This can be a very good opportunity to gain some work experience and knowledge. The counseling process of Techno India University 2020 M.Tech admission is through GATE 2020/ TGATE score. The last date to apply for GATE 2020 was October 5, 2020. GATE 2020 entrance exam was conducted on February 1-2, 2020 & February 8-9, 2020. The result of GATE 2020 was declared on March 16, 2020.
The registration for GATE 2021 is over. The last date to apply for GATE 2021 was October 14, 2020.
The admissions for B.Tech. 2020 and B.Pharm 2020 have been started at Techno India University, Kolkata. The seats will be filled through JEE Mains 2020/WBJEE 2020/ TNJEE Entrance exam. There are no such factors which attracted me towards this. I got this college at the Mop Up Round Counselling and got luckily this college because my rank is almost high and at that that is very difficult to get a good college with CSE as a branch. But luckily I got this college. The exposure of this college is good and also heard from many of my friends regarding this college. And this college located at the hub of IT Sectors so students can enjoy it. I opted for this course because I want CSE Branch and lots of interest from the very beginning of my life.
