IIHMR University has announced Shri PD Agarwal Scholarships of INR 1 lakh to meritorious students and freeships for SC/ST/OBC & EWS studentsScholarships for the students for the academic session of 2021- 2023. IIHMR University known as a premier healthcare institution has announced the grant of Shri PD Agarwal Scholarships and Freeships for the meritorious students applying for MBA Hospital and Health Management, Digital Health, Pharmaceutical Management, Rural Management and Development Management programs.

Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University said, “The decision of IIHMR University to offer scholarships to meritorious students is a landmark initiative in higher education that will invest in the future of young and aspiring candidates. We have also announced tuition fee waivers to prospective students based on academic merit by allowing Free-ship to the deserving & underprivileged students.” 

The details of Scholarships and Freeships for all programs are given below:

MBA Hospital and Health Management:

  • 15 Scholarships each amounting to INR 1,00,000 each student
  • Eligibility Criteria: 
    • 65% or above aggregate marks in MBBS
    • 75% or above aggregate marks in BDS
    • 85% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree
    • 85 percentile or above in CAT/XAT
    • 95 percentile or above in MAT/CMAT/NMAT

MBA Digital Health: 

  • 5 Scholarships amounting to INR 1,00,000 each student
  • Eligibility Criteria: 
    • 60% or above aggregate marks in MBBS
    • 70% or above aggregate marks in BDS
    • 80% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree
    • 85 percentile or above in CAT/XAT
    • 95 percentile or above in MAT/CMAT/NMAT

MBA Hospital and Health Management and MBA Digital Health: 

  • Free Ship: INR 9.60 lacs for each student
  • 100% of Freeship available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS
  • Criteria to avail freeship: To be awarded to students based on combined merit prepared for MBA Hospital and Health Management and MBA Digital Health (including all rounds of GD-PI) prepared at the time of admission.

MBA Pharmaceutical Management:

  • 15 Scholarships each amounting to INR 1,00,000 each student
  • Eligibility Criteria 
    • 75% or above aggregate marks in any bachelor’s degree
    • 60 percentile or above in CAT/XAT
    • 80 percentile or above in MAT/CMAT/NMAT
    • 100% of Freeship available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS, Amount of Freeship: INR 8.40 lacs
    • Criteria to avail freeship: To be awarded to students based on combined merit (Including all rounds of GD-PI) prepared at the time of admission

MBA Rural Management:

  • 15 Scholarships each amounting to INR 1,00,000 each student
  • Eligibility Criteria:
  • 50% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree
  • 50 percentile or above in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT
  • 100% of Freeship available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS, Amount of Freeship: Rs. 5.25 lacs
  • Criteria to avail freeship: To be awarded to students based on combined merit (including all rounds of GD-PI) prepared at the time of admission

MBA Development Management:

  • 15 Scholarships each amounting to Rs. 1,00,000 each student
  • Eligibility Criteria: 
  • 50% or above aggregate marks in any other bachelor’s degree
  • 50 percentile or above in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT
  • 100% Freeship available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS, Amount of Freeship: INR 5.25 lacs
  • Criteria to avail freeship: To be awarded to students based on combined merit (Including all rounds of GD-PI) prepared at the time of admission

Terms & Conditions:

  • The scholarship is not guaranteed to all the candidates fulfilling the above criteria.
  • Limited scholarships will be awarded based on the above criteria, overall profile and score obtained in the selection process at the sole discretion of the Admission & Scholarship Committee.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS/Kashmiri Migrants/Children or Widows of personnel of the Armed Forces meeting the above criteria will be given preference in the award of scholarship.
  • The total scholarship amount will be adjusted in the last installments. The amount of Scholarship will not be disbursed directly to the student.

Declarations: The University reserves the right to add, withdraw or modify any of the criteria, amount and count for all scholarship details mentioned above at any time. The decision of the University will be final regarding the award of scholarship to the deserving candidates. The Academic Department of the University will maintain the records related to the grant of scholarships

Scholarship for Financial Assistance (For Second Year students): 

The IIHMR University, Jaipur shall also consider providing financial aid to merit holders as well as needy students. This scholarship which will be equivalent to 30% of the second-year tuition fee, will be granted to each student on a need-cum-merit basis. The following broad criteria will be considered for the selection of such financial assistance: Total number of scholarships available: 10 

  1. If a student is an orphan or the bread earner in her/his family is dead or does not have any financial income to support her/his studies, she/he will be awarded this scholarship on priority provided that she/he maintains good conduct and secures more than 60 % aggregate marks or equivalent grades in the examinations held by the University.
  2. If the number of applicants is more than the number of scholarships available, the committee constituted for this purpose will examine the income certificates and educational performance at the University. It is essential for all such applicants to obtain more than 60% aggregate marks in the examinations held by the University.
  3. Scholarship Selection Committee: The President of the IIHMR University will constitute a selection committee for the evaluation and selection of students for scholarships/fellowships. The Selection Committee will ensure that the criteria and the spirit of the policy are adhered to.
  4. Applications for applying for the grant of scholarship for financial assistance: The students of the University may apply (format enclosed) with requisite details to the Registrar every year by August, 31. The application should be in the prescribed format along with all required supporting documents and papers. The selection will be made by the Selection Committee to be formed for this purpose. The recommendations of the Committee will be sent to the President for approval.
  5. The amount of scholarship for financial assistance will be adjusted against the payable tuition fees and will not be disbursed directly to the student. 
  6. Each applicant will be eligible to receive only one of the tuition fee waivers or financial assistance scholarships.

Fellowship of Ph.D.:

Total number of Fellowships available: Two. The amount allocated is INR 2 lacs. The IIHMR University, Jaipur also announces PD Agarwal fellowships each amounting to INR 1, 00,000. One fellowship will be awarded to the best Ph. D. scholar whose published work and the Ph.D. thesis is of superior quality and the other one to a 2nd-year student of other academic courses of the University who exhibits not only excellent scholarly achievements but sets an example for her/his character, and commitment to the common good cause. The student selected for this fellowship should maintain good conduct throughout the period of study. The fellow must have a potential for leadership, and the ability to play the role of a catalyst in whatever domain she/he chooses. There will be no application for such fellowship, but the members of the committee constituted for this purpose will keep track of academic, other activities and initiatives of the Ph.D. scholars/second-year students of the program. Each member of the committee will identify one candidate and after due deliberations on the requisites of this fellowship, the head of the committee will recommend two students for this fellowship. The announcement of the fellowship will be made before January 31 and the scholarship will be awarded on the day of the convocation program. General Procedures for Grant of Scholarships/Fellowships:

  1. The academic department of the University is responsible for announcing and informing prospective and enrolled students about the scholarship policy and its criteria.

  3. Record-Keeping Requirements: The academic cell of the University will maintain the records connected with the grant of scholarship/fellowship.
