Remarks :

The management is pretty strict. I'd say don't expect anything from them. Its about the friends and seniors that makes me love the college the most.

Remarks :

Based on my merit in the JEE-Mains,i had quite a few options to choose from but I opted for this college as it is among the top notch colleges in the country with reasonably good placement opportunities. The college is located at a suitable distance from all the necessary services and is easily accessible. The region too has an ambient climate. Information Technology and Computer Science are the best courses to pursue here as the faculties are highly qualified. Hostel accommodation is pretty sorted out with a good mess. I was very keen on building a career in the technology field, and this was the perfect place to head start.

Ques. Should I prefer IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Bhubaneswar above MIT, Manipal for the ECE branch?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 05 Jul 21

Ans. IIIT Bhubaneshwar is an institute of the Odisha Government. There might be some issues about IIIT Bhubaneswar but it would not be much of a problem. Here are some of the facts about IIIT Bhubaneswar, I got to know from one of my friends studying there. Faculty: The teaching faculty of IIIT Bhubaneswar is often portrayed as not good. Their profile is decent with the required qualification. Placements Some of the top recruiters include Dell, E&Y, IBM, Infosys, LTI, Quantiphi, Turtlemint, etc. The CSE branch is giving the best outcomes in terms of placements. Number of recruiters 28 Number of students placed 335 Highest package INR 44 LPA Lowest package INR 3.6 LPA Research The research output at IIIT Bhubaneshwar is not great but not marginal. Almost all the students of CSE MTech and most of the EE MTech students have at least one EEE conference in their name. One of my friends is studying here and he has presented one published conference paper and one journal. And also have another two ready conference papers that will be presented soon. There is no denying that IIIT Bhubaneswar does not have any issues. IIIT Bhubaneswar is a good choice if you want to pursue BTech in CSE, CE or IT.Read more

Ques. What should I choose for CSE, IIIT Bhubaneshwar or IIIT Vadodara?

● Top Answer By Admin on 02 Jul 21

Ans. Although comparing two colleges in the same league is difficult, I believe I can answer this question because my brother is an IIT Bhubaneswar student and one of my close friends is an IIIT Vadodara student. Both colleges have their advantages, but there must IIIT Bhubaneswar has a slight edge. IIIT Vadodara's status appears to be stagnant, as it does not have good infrastructure. It also does not have its own campus. IIT Bhubaneswar, on the other hand, has its own campus. Despite the fact that the land area is small, the infrastructure is modern and adequate. Single room hostels are also available. In fact, IIIT Bhubaneswar has separate classrooms for all branches for each batch of students. This is significant because infrastructure is extremely important in engineering colleges. When it comes to faculties, it's almost the same everywhere. According to statistics, IIIT Bhubaneswar's placements appear to be better as well. Here are the recent placement statistics for the institutes. Institute IIIT Bhubaneswar IIIT Vadodara Average CTC 15 LPA 13 LPA Highest CTC 44 LPA 43 LPA Major recruiters Microsoft, Infosys Amazon, ICICI Bank, Mathworks So, going by all the factors, it is safe to say that IIIT Bhubaneswar will be a better option.Read more

Ques. Should I prefer IIIT Bhubaneswar, IIIT Vadodara, or IIIT Una?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 29 Jun 21

Ans. Here is a brief overview of each one of them that might help you choose the best. IIIT Bhubaneswar: It has been recognized as an International Institute of Information Technology, where the first 50% of the seats are primarily reserved for the Odisha category, while the other 50% is decided upon the JEE Mains. The placement is comparably the same as IIIT Vadodara and in terms of infrastructure, it is largely adequate too. IIIT Vadodara: The campus is as of now temporarily functioning at GEC Gandhinagar, Gujarat. However, it still has a very reputed technical culture surrounding students, as well as the placements, are continually hiking each year. It is proof of how it is rapidly growing. The hostels of the institute are extremely good, as opposed to most of the other IIITs. IIIT Una: It was established after IIIT Vadodara. It is at present functioning from NIT. It, unfortunately, has poor transportation facilities. Nonetheless, for a better idea, here is a brief highlight of each institute’s placement stats for the year 2020. Institute IIIT Bhubaneswar IIIT Vadodara IIIT Una Placement Percentage 97% 100% 100% Average CTC 15.8 LPA 13 LPA 4.5 LPA Highest CTC 44 LPA 43.5 LPA 13.5 LPA Major recruiters Amazon, Adloid, Optum (UHG), Dream 11, Caterpillar, Persistent, Rupeek, Mathworks Amazon, Mathworks, ICICI Bank, Sigmoid, Vehant Technologies, Toppr IBM, Reliance, Mind, Yodlee, Greyb, Round Glass, Yodlee, L&T InfoTech Given the clear image of each institute above, you should now choose wisely to decide further. It is suggested that you still run a check on other latest important aspects of each institute.Read more

Ques. Why are placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar so pathetic as compared to IIIT Guwahati?

● Top Answer By Kumar Shiwam on 23 Jun 21

Ans. There are several reasons why the placements of IIIT Bhubaneswar do not hike to the level of IIIT Guwahati. One of my friends is among the recent alumni of the institute and has a better idea about the same. Here is what he has to say. While IIIT Guwahati is an institute of National Importance, IIIT Bhubaneswar is not. IIIT Guwahati usually also has the provision of industry support from various major companies because of the status of national importance it has. It also comes under MHRD, GOI directly. IIIT Bhubaneswar doesn’t enjoy the same privilege. IIIT Guwahati receives funds and support directly from the central government, unlike IIIT Bhubaneswar. IIIT Guwahati was first established by MHRD and was among the few newer IIITs to have their permanent campus quite early. The peer group at IIIT Guwahati is better due to the higher cut-off as compared to IIIT Bhubaneswar. These are the reasons behind the poor placement record of IIIT Bhubaneswar.Read more

Ques. What should I choose between PICT Pune computer engineering and IIIT Bhubaneswar CSE?

● Top Answer By Monika on 10 Jun 21

Ans. My friend is a student of Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) and has a better opinion on the same. The CS branch in PICT is among the top three CS course offerings in the Maharashtra State Colleges. Here are some of the advantages of choosing PICT Pune CS. You will have good classmates who are among the top 10% in either MH board exams or the CET exams. You will get better placements, the average of which has been around 90%. The placement details of both institutes are as follows. Institute PICT, Pune IIIT Bhubaneswar Average CTC 7.75 LPA 3.6 LPA Highest CTC 91 LPA 44 LPA PICT also has a good alumni network. The major upside of choosing PICT is that you can be in close touch with the corporate side from the beginning of your 3rd-year college projects and events. It is because the location is favorable. According to my friend, the professors at PICT are well experienced. However, before making any decision, you should run a check on both of the institutes.Read more
