Remarks :

I pursued MSc. in Physics in University of Hyderabad. The faculties here are experienced in their respective fields and also they interact well with the students. Also another reason I opted for MSc. here is due to the serene green campus the University offers and an opportunity to mix with people from diverse backgrounds.

Placement Experience :

There are ample job opportunities after the completion of the course. Companies like TCS, Deloitte etc visit each year. There is a placement cell that coordinates all these placement works. Each year a lot of students get placed. Several coaching Institutes also visit each year.

Remarks :

College management is good but it can be better. The University has lots of changes to make in terms of infrastructure. But it is a good college with lots of good faculties and students. As the university is huge it provides buses for students. It is very much safe even in night. But beware of snakes during rainy season.

Ques. How is Hyderabad Central University for MSc in Physics?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. Hyderabad University is undoubtedly a place where students can turn into passionate researchers and enthusiastic teachers. It has created a good M.Sc. curriculum with equally strong experimental and theoretical foundations.  In the final semester, it offers three specializations: Modern Optics, Condensed Matter Physics, and High-Energy Physics. Along with any of the specializations, there will be two laboratory sessions and the main project as well. Experimental Physics: There will be 7 laboratory courses which are necessary for all students: Electronics, Digital Electronics, Modern Physics, LASER Physics, Microwave, Solid-State Physics, Nuclear Physics.  Theoretical Physics: It is, nevertheless, one of the greatest places to pursue a specialty in high-energy physics. Particle Physics, General Relativity and Gravitation, Lie Algebra and Group Theory, Quantum Field Theory, and other courses are included. Education: HCU is home to some wonderful people and books. Find them and approach them with open arms and hearts. Interact, inquire, and gain knowledge.  Overall, it's all about time, so make the most of it.Read more

Ques. Whats the cutoff marks to get an admission in University of Hyderabad?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. Every year in the first week of June, the University of Hyderabad holds an entrance exam in various centers across the country. You will be called for an interview at the end of June based on your entrance test rank. The higher your rank, the better your chances of securing a spot for admission, subject to reservation and the availability of vacant spots in respective departments. The university never reveals the actual score required for admission. However, based on previous students’ experience, you need to get around 60% in XII to get into UoH.Read more

Ques. How is hostel life at the Hyderabad University campus?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. Every day is a new day in the Hyderabad University hostel, but don't expect super-luxurious accommodation facilities.  The rooms are shared among 2 students, which is fine because you get to meet a lot of new people.  Find a group and hang out with them. It is not always a happy place because you will be learning life lessons, but it is certainly exciting. Apart from this, you will get the best internet services in your hostel rooms. It is available 24/7 and the speed is fantastic. In terms of food at the hostel, most of it is South Indian and the menu is the same every day. You might get bored with it.  You will have a lot of fun, ups, and downs, and learn a lot. A day at HCU begins at 6:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 a.m. The hostel life at Hyderabad is quite similar to any government institute. You can enjoy more freedom and infrastructure when compared to private institutions.Read more

Ques. Is studying at the University of Hyderabad worth it?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 14 Oct 21

Ans. Yes, studying at the University of Hyderabad is worth it. I have a few friends from the institute and here is their experience in brief.  The institute has recently signed more than 10 MOUs from all over the world. It provides freedom to the students. You can do anything you wish to pursue including politics, studies, sports, or the other activities one is interested in. The University consists of Twelve Schools of Study namely Humanities, Engineering Sciences & Technology, Management Studies, Mathematics and Statistics, Life Sciences, Physics, Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication, Medical Sciences, Chemistry, Social Sciences, and Economics Computer/Information Sciences. These include both single-disciplined schools and attached departments and centers. The University promotes Inter-school and inter-disciplinary teaching and research on the campus. So, overall choosing University of Hyderabad will be definitely worth it. Read more

Ques. What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at University of Hyderabad?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 14 Oct 21

Ans. I know a few people from University of Hyderabad and here are some things that they mentioned.  Politics: The worst thing in the University of Hyderabad is the politics that begins from the day of admission. If you want to concentrate on your academics, it’s better to stay away from politics. Friends: There will be people from all over the country. It’s good to make friends but keep your friend circle limited. Freedom: You are free to do anything on campus be it the good and the bad things and there is no one to keep supervision. So, be responsible.  Sports: You can spend your time in the sports complex which consists of a gym and will help you be fit and healthy. Also, it will help you to focus more on good things and to stay out of the other useless activities. Keep these things in mind and enjoy well at the University of Hyderabad.Read more
