Dibrugarh University Admissions 2023 is open for B.Pharma and B.Pharma (Practice) programs. Admissions to the program are based on Merit in the qualifying exam. The Last Date to Apply is June 30, 2023. The Merit List for admissions will be released on July 10, 2023. The Counselling and Admission will be held on July 12, 2023.

Dibrugarh University, Assam offers a full time B.Pharm course for a duration of four years at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The department was the first of its kind to be established in North East India and has been actively working to improve and popularise Pharmacy Education and Research activities since its establishment in 1983. 

• Selection for the course is made on the basis of merit. 
• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science stream with minimum 50%
• The program is spread over eight semesters with each semester being of six months. 
• The course work is a combination of compulsory and elective credit courses. The Bachelor courses are distributed into B. Pharm and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Practice).

Dibrugarh University B.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria required to study the B. Pharm course are as follows:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science stream from Assam Higher Secondary Council or a recognised board, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology 
• There is a 5% relaxation for students belonging to reserved categories.

                                                                                        OR

• Two-Year Diploma in Pharmacy Examination of Assam or of any other Institution which is recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India and AICTE securing 50% marks in the aggregate.

Applications for the B. Pharm course are accepted online and are accepted through the Online Application Portal of Dibrugarh University. The steps to apply are as follows:

• Visit the official Admission portal of Dibrugarh University.
• Register by clicking on the “Register Button” provided on the Portal. 
• Provide your Mobile No. and set a password while registering. Your provided mobile no. will be verified through an OTP.
• Login using set Password.
• Click on “Apply” button Corresponding to the link of desired program. Application form will open
• Fill the Application form carefully by providing all the necessary details.
• Click on “Submit and Review”. Preview all the details carefully, if something is wrong, candidates are advised to correct it at this stage.
• Click on “Pay Now and Submit the Application”, if you have carefully reviewed all the details.
• An application fee of INR 750/- needs to be paid online through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking.
• On successful payment of the Application fee, the Application form will be finally considered as Submitted.
• Click on the “Download” button and download the Submitted Application form. Also, take the printout for future use.

Dibrugarh University B.Pharm Course Details

The program is spread over eight semesters with each semester being of six months. For the B.Pharm course, examination and evaluation are done on a continuous basis throughout each semester. The weightage is given as 60% marks of each Theory and Practical paper in a semester allotted to End-Semester Examination and 40% marks are allotted to In-Semester Examination/ Assessment. End-Semester Examination is held at the end of each Semester. Course work includes both Theory and Practicals. Theory consists of lectures and/or tutorials, and Practicals consist of hours spent in the lab. The total credits are 209 and the minimum credit points required to be awarded a B. Pharm. degree is 208.  Students need to complete a compulsory project work in their last semester to be awarded 12 credit units. 1 credit unit is allotted for extracurricular activities.
