Remarks :

Established in 1965 Dibrugarh University is one of the best universities in the state. It was ranked 86 in the 101?150 band overall in India among universities and 35 in the pharmacy ranking by NIRF in 2019. In addition to this the ambience of the university has always attracted me always. The University is spread over an area of 500 acres with several facilities which include in-campus canteens, hostels, parks, playgrounds, indoor stadium, gymnasium hall, guest houses, ponds, outdoor halls, indoor sports hall, basketball/volleyball courts, etc. The Lakshminath Bezbaruah Central Library is the hub to access numerous books, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, novels, newspaper and many others. It caters to the need of all the students and teachers and every necessary book is received here. Also the university is located in an urban area i.e. just 5kms from the Dibrugarh town. Most departments and hostels also provide free Wi-Fi to the students for their assignments. Also most departments and centres have their own library facility for their respective students. The campus placement of the overall students is also satisfactory. Every year the students of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Centre for Management Studies, Library Science, Mass Communication, etc are decently placed in various government and private companies.

Placement Experience :

I have no idea regarding the loan available. Some of my friends have availed the course fees by applying for student loans which may or may not be from private banks. There are several scholarships for the reservation caste like OBC, ST's and SC's. These are often applied through the departments, administration office, etc. ITC often provides PPO after the internship. In addition to ITC, people also get hired for Airtel, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, Bandhan Bank, Amul, Caf? Coffee Day, etc. Sometimes they travel to places to attend the job interview because recruiters sometimes do not want to visit the place as its far from Guwahati.

Good, Because quality of teaching is good and teacher's also have great knowledge and And all staff and faculty are also well qualified they clear our doubt, conduct tutorials class for better understanding and are very helpful.

Admission :

Entrance exam and through Councilling process, A college entrance exam is a standardized aptitude test that measures your aptitude in various areas such as verbal, math, analytical and writing skills. These tests are not designed to measure what you have learned in school; rather, they measure your potential to perform well in the future.

Remarks :

Good college and has the potential tondo much more. Great subjects and overall experience was very good.

Admission :

Candidates have to pass the State Engineering Entrance examination and a cut off marks is decided based upon highest marks of the students. Also a minimum requirement of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths is compulsory for getting admitted. Once I got a scorecard, I got letter to be present for counseling as my marks was amongst Top 10%. Also the top 20-40 students out of the batch of 360 got to choose the desired branch.

Ques. What is your review of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering Technology DUIET?

Ans. During the first year, the students of all branches will have a common classroom for all subjects. It is from the 3rd semester that you will be well acquainted with respective branches. The teachers are very dedicated and cooperative and the classes are held regularly. Alongside academics, you would be left with enough time to excel through various extra-curricular activities. The annual tech fest “Auxesis” is held every odd semester and the University Week is held every even semester. The workload becomes exhausting during these semesters. The campus is serene and splendid. The greenery everywhere brings out the best of the serene beauty and creates an enthusiastic environment for studying. Overall, your college time here would be terrific. Everyone has their own individual perspective and opinions thus; your experience might be very much different and better too.Read more

Ans. No, ragging does not happen in the Dibrugarh University hostel. Students refrain from making the freshers feel uncomfortable, instead, they are supportive. The academic pressure is too high for students at the university to engage in any such ragging activities on others. However, there have been instances of students getting debarred due to serious ragging activities in some particular hostels. If you focus on your studies and stay away from any mishappenings at the college you would be able to stay away from the troublemakers. Even if you face any problem in the hostel premises, then you can freely consult the prefect or the warden.Read more

Ans. Considering the fact that there would be negative marking, a score of 150 and above would help you in securing a seat in Dibrugarh University for Petro-Chemical Branch. However, the score can vary as it depends on your overall performance. The number of seats available at the Petrochemical Branch is low. Due to this, the cutoff has been set high. Unless you ace your exam, you would not be able to secure a seat here. The placement opportunities are not good and hardly 2-3 students receive proper job offers. This influences the decision of many students who were willing to be a part of Dibrugarh University in order to be placed in an esteemed company.Read more

Ans. To be eligible for admission in the B.Tech course in Dibrugarh University, you have to score very good marks in your entrance examination to clear the cutoffs. The cutoffs of Dibrugarh University are generally declared in the month of June and July through 'The Assam Tribune' and other local newspapers. Dibrugarh University accepts students on the basis of both JEE and CEE scores. If you are able to clear the cutoff marks, then you will be given a date to appear for the counselling process. If you are looking for a seat in Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dibrugarh University then you should have a CEE score of more than 115 to be eligible for admission. But this score again varies every year and depends on the result trends. If you are looking for a seat in PE or ME, then the cutoff marks would be even higher as these two branches are in high demand and are more preferred in Assam. The eligibility of all the branches (ME, PE, ECE & CSE) changes every year as it depends on the average scores of both JEE and CEE. It also depends upon the number of students appearing for the examination. Ans. According to some of my friends studying at Dibrugarh University, CSE here will be a very good option as it is a much reputed institute and provides a lot of facilities to the students. The faculty of this college is good in terms of teaching and knowledge but from the point of view of GATE, it is not very good. There are 6 teachers in the CSE department but all of them are assistant professors. They are very helpful and cooperative. There are very good lab facilities which are available 24x7 for the students but there is not any kind of coding culture inside the university campus. This one thing needs to change as the presence of a coding culture will help the students to learn many new things and skills and will also make them more creative. There are also few talk shows held every year compared to some other colleges and universities. If you like to study alone, then you will have the freedom to do it in this university with the help of various study tools and materials available online. The placements of this institute are very good as there are many students who have got placed in top MNCs.
