Truth to be if you are on the Tepesia campus the social life is awesome. It got a huge area and all. But if you are on the Azara campus then it's a zero. You have Dverve and prajyuktam. Other than that nothing. It's basically a school. Just study and study.
When it comes to the social life on the ADBU campus I would say it was more like heaven on earth. The campus was rich in nature with a beautiful lake side view and white picket fences near the shore. The people on campus were very fashionable and welcoming. It will give anyone the feeling of living somewhere in a foreign country. We used to have different fests from soul's day to liberal arts. Where the students got numerous opportunities to explore their own talents by singing, reciting poems or performing any form of art. ADBU is a beautiful place to learn and it is perfect for anyone who is fond of art and loves to write or create Art. There were different clubs as well for example music, dance, art & craft etc.
Hostel facilities were amazing and the cost was also affordable. Even though there was no food facilities in the hostels we had 4 canteens inside the campus which were cheap and the food was also tasty. Hostel wardens were very caring and sincere and in case of any medical emergency they were always there. We had study rooms in each hostel which was probably the best place to study during exams as the view of the hillside with tea plants from the window made the study hall a cool place to start my lessons with utmost dedication. As a Nature lover's perspective it really helped me concentrate more.
The campus life is filled with various activities and study opportunities such as NAAC visits, Youth Camp programs, annual functions, team building programs, and orientation programs for students and new faculty members of the university. Students have the opportunity to attend farewell and fresher's programs. Campus life can be enjoyed better by staying in the hostel and enjoying all activities. Most amenities are provided in the classroom but bathrooms are mostly dirty. Sports and extracurricular activities are available for students to enjoy.
In order to get admission you must either give JEE(MAINS)or DBCET. The Dbcet test is a bit more complicated than the Cee exams but they will accept till 60 percent in it. Other than that if you just want to study, do take admission but if you want to enjoy college life then don't.
ABy - AnirbanThere were no eligibility criteria. I found the application form on the official website of Assam Don Bosco University where I had to select the course I wanted to apply for and after filling up the form I was charged rupees 1000. There are three ADBU campuses. And according to the availability of the courses on each campus, they conduct personal interviews. The interview was short and simple and the questions they asked were basically about the particular courses we are applying for. There are scholarships as well for students who belong to other backward classes and have no source of income at home. I don't think there should be any improvement regarding the admission process as I didn't f
UcBy - Uddipana chowdhuryFor my Master's program, the eligibility criteria were 60% for getting into the postgraduation course and I had to apply through the universities website and fill up all the information. After completing all the information I had to go through a personal interview with the psychology department HOD. Once the personal interview was over I was informed after a week that I have achieved admission to the university. Reservation is available for minorities and scholarships are also provided based on financial requirements and merit.
