Placement Experience:

From the 7th-semester student gets eligible for campus placement. And they can apply for an internship from 5 th semesters. Students must not have a backlog for applying for an intern. The highest package was 2.4 cr the previous year.

Internships Opportunities:

Previous statistics have shown that nearly 50 percent of students get an internship. The highest stipend offer was 125000. Apart from the internship, you can also do some projects under some professors. Some professors can also help you to go abroad in a student exchange program.

Life At IIT Guwahati

Placement Experience:

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Internships Opportunities:

250 companies came this year for the placement drive. 218 PPOs were received and around 700 students were placed in phase 1 of the placement drive. So if you are an average student here and have a maintained cpi then you definitely have what it takes.

IIT Guwahati Review

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to be placed after the 6th semester. Most of the major companies visit the college and make a good number of offers. Foreign offers are usually above 1cr and domestic packages are a bit less compared to them. IT companies are first to make offers followed by Automobile and Electronics. The highest Package is about 2.2 Cr offered in the role of Quant Analyst. The majority of high packages are provided for Software Engineer Roles by IT companies like FAANGM in India. The percent of students placed is nearly 96 to 98% of the students that register for the placement process. I will try to get placed as a software engineer in the placement.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are offered by the majority of big companies in each domain. The major ones are FAANGM in the IT sector. The procedure starts at the end of 2nd year of the 6th semester. The internships are done after 3rd year. And the stipends range from 7L to 40,000 based on the role and the companies. There is Coding Round initially followed by GD and interviews that can vary on the slots available.
