Every year, the Department changes the curriculums in an attempt to make them the best for the students. There are four exams every semester, one of which will be an assignment.
Industries today are connecting with all possibilities to hire the best talent from Assam.

Ishan Uday scholarship, which is provided by UGC, is one of the best scholarships for merit students. The university avails this scholarship every year as per the UGC.
The university also has a hostel for girls, as well as boys, and the quality of food is also very good.
Hostel facilities are very good with a meager hostel fee of around 1500 per month.
Tezpur University is the best university in the northeast, so I was really happy after getting selected.

Dislike

The college provides an internship to students from other colleges, and there is no stipend given. However, the student can avail hostel and mess facilities by paying a reduced amount of money.
The last placement was a very long time ago, I guess in 2008 or earlier. It was in local news channels that used to pay very little

Tezpur University Mechanical Engineering

Placement Experience:

From the seven semesters, students are eligible for the placements. A good number of company visits to campus for placement drives. Some companies are OIL, L&T, Tata Technology, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. Each company gives almost 7-8 offers and some IT giants give 15-20 offers. For OIL, senior officer profile, the Package is almost between 15-20 lakhs per annum. almost 80-90% of students get placed. I am planning to go for a job after the degree.

Remarks:

In B. Tech., 60% of seats are reserved for north-east residents and 40% seats are open for all India. The admission is done on the basis of JEE main rank. Application forms are available on university website for North East Residents and for 40% seats, admission is done through JOSAA/CSAB. Reservation benefits are given as per central government rule in JOSAA/CSAB.
