What students say about Panjab University - [PU]

Likes

  • We are provided with the best faculty, who have great teaching experience, and practical labs with modernized equipment.
  • I am working with Vardhan Consulting Engineers and also Tamasha Technology. It has been a great experience. My mentor has provided me a lot of information regarding the industry.
  • The colleges placement percentage is currently at a very good 60%, whereas, before COVID, it was 98%. Now, it is once again coming back on track.
  • The college also provides scholarship and loan facilities, which are the best things in this college. Anyone can get admission to this college.
  • My campus life is just awesome, the best hostel life ever. There are around 16,340 students on our campus; the ratio of females to males must be 46:54.
  • Hostel rooms are very good in our college. They provide food at given times, like breakfast at 10 am in the morning, lunch at 2 pm, and dinner at 8 pm

Dislike

  • Lots of companies visit the campus for different fields and courses. Im not satisfied because there are not many placements available for my field. The university needs to focus equally on the placement of all the courses.
  • Scholarships are available for single girl children, higher percentage students, distinction students, as well as low fees for SC and poor categories.
  • I am a day scholar, so I dont reside in the hostel, but I use the hostels very often because my course runs from morning till evening.
  • As the departments are careless, sometimes library staff are drinking tea during working hours.

Remarks:

The admission process is done by counselling through the process of JAC Chandigarh, JAC Chandigarh does councelling on the basis of Rank in JEE Mains. Application and other processe can be found on JAC Chandigarh website I got reservation benefit in Boarder Area Seat

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MA (English) because I wanted to follow my passion for English and even faculty was so good and was so friendly and they always give you good advices and they were very well qualified all were Ph.D. scholars and in this college, there was semester system in one year there were two sem and 2 mst's.

Remarks:

The eligibility for the course was just merit-based and the application form is available on the website of DAV and the application fee was around 1000 Rs. and I think the admission process should be quite easy and available for everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview:

UIET Chandigarh's BE EEE course curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering concepts and practical skills. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, physics, electronics, power systems, control systems, electrical machines, and renewable energy sources. The course also includes laboratory work, projects, and industry internships, which provide hands-on experience and practical skills. The curriculum is regularly updated to keep up with the latest developments in the field and to meet industry needs. As for the faculty members, UIET Chandigarh has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. The faculty members are dedicated to providing high-quality education and guidance to students. They use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, to engage students and facilitate their learning.

Remarks:

Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects, and should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination. Candidates must have appeared in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and obtained a valid score. The admission will be based on the JEE Main score and the counselling conducted by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC). Candidates can apply for admission through the JAC website by filling out the online application form and paying the required fee. The application process generally includes providing personal and academic information, uploading documents, and selecting the choice of branch.

Placement Experience:

life is all about placements and job hunting and on-campus placements can help a lot. Most of the companies ask for 70% or above to be eligible to sit in the placements without any backlog.

Remarks:

I gave jee mains exam in 2019. And after the result, I applied for counseling in Jac. We have to fill the priorities of the stream and college according to us .you can find the application form on the official website of the Jac Chandigarh. I didn't avail of any reservation benefits. But there are some reservations for the sc, obc, and st castes. And no Chandigarh quota.

Placement Experience:

At UIET, Panjab University the placements are quite good for CSE and IT branches. Top package offering companies are samsung, Amazon, AMEX. Other MNC's like Deloitte, Infosys, KPMG etc. Come for on-campus offerings but with an average package of 4-5 lakhs. Lots of high package offering startups also offer jobs.

Remarks:

Admission is based on JEE Main Rank through JAC Chandigarh counselling. Details related to reservation benefits and sports-related benefits are available on the official Panjab University website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty members at CCET are highly qualified and experienced. They have a strong academic background in their respective fields. Placement Experience:

placements are pretty solid in our college we get placed right when our last year begins, and there are plenty of companies that come around to recruit students from our college so it's fair to say we have a good student-employment ratio.

Remarks:

You can get admission if you have a decent enough jee mains rank it's not that hard plus it's a government college so you don't have to worry too much about campus placements either. application forms can be filled out through jac or visit the ccet website and download the brochure. there are reservation benefits as well.
