IIIT Delhi has a dedicated placement cell that helps students secure internships and campus jobs. The institute has collaborations with various companies, including Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Adobe, among others. The average salary offered to graduates of IIIT Delhi is around Rs. 20 lakhs per annum.
The eligibility criteria for admission to IIIT Delhi may vary depending on the program the candidate is applying for. Here are some general eligibility criteria for different programs. The candidate must have passed the class 12th examination from a recognized board with at least 80% marks in aggregate and must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The candidate must have a valid score in JEE Main. The candidate must have a B.Tech/B.E degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute. The candidate must have a valid score in GATE. The candidate must have a master's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute. The candidate must have a valid score in GATE/NET/JRF. IIIT Delhi reserves 85% of the total seats for candidates from the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. This includes candidates who have passed the qualifying exam from any school/college located within Delhi NCT
One of the best placement records in the country, with an average package of 22 LPA CTC for B.Tech. 100+ companies visit to take around 600 students for both internship and full-time offers. Few international job offerings are there as well.
Based on JEE mains score and application/ counseling process through JAC Delhi. State University hence 85% of seats are reserved for Students who did their 12th from school in Delhi, which lowers the bar for such a premiere institute when compared to IIITH/B. Other modes of admission are UCEED, international admission through SAT scores, etc. It was a smooth experience for me.
100% placement is guaranteed. Our Tnp cell is one of the best in India. Approximately 500+ offers are made every year and students can get internships at the end of the second year. The highest package overseas was 1.8cr last year and the on-campus highest was 50lpa from CSB. Companies like Googe Microsoft, etc visit us annually. I am planning to get placed in a big Company after Btech.
I got admission through JEE main, you can find the application form on NTA official website. Application fees are quite affordable and for other details about the syllabus, etc. visit jee mains' official website. I applied for JAC Delhi counseling and got admission to IIITD easily as my rank was 22k and I had a Delhi candidate Quota also. The admission process was very smooth and easy.
In the 2021 and 2022 graduating batch, almost above 94% of the students got placed in the college. Almost 100% of students got placed in the CSE batch. All major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, etc., and more than 145 companies visit our college to hire students. Students from the CSE course are allowed to sit for placement tests of all the companies that come to campus. Mostly software development engineering role is offered to students. Some students also get product, design, and research roles. The highest salary package offered is 39 LPA for B.Tech students. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA for the MTech students. The average salary package offered is 16.22 LPA. In 2021, about 282 students got an internship in the above-mentioned companies previously.
Candidates need to be a Class 12 pass with a minimum 70% aggregate in five subjects including Physics, Maths, and Chemistry, and 70% in Mathematics in Class 12 from a recognized board to become eligible for the B.Tech program. Only JEE Mains qualified students with excellent ranks to get admissiotoin IIIT Delhi. I have availed reservation benefit Scheduled cast. Also, I am from Delhi so Home quota also applied and helps me to get admission to this precious college.
Here comes the most beautiful thing about this college which is PLACEMENTS...so the placements here are top notch with an average package of around 21.6 LPA and 27LPA for CSE which is a huge number. But now the twist comes, after having a talk with PLACED seniors, I came to know that your BRANCH does not matter for placements, the only thing that matters is your SKILLS. Even I have seen an ECE student with a PPO of 30 LPA, so yeah, your BRANCH does not matter in IIITD
Since IIITD is one of the top engineering colleges in INDIA therefore you have to work really hard to come here...the cut off of CSE closes at almost 9k rank. The process of admission is pretty simple since we are only required to get our documents verified in JAC COUNSELLING by paying a big amount of approx. 100k.
I chose B.Tech in the CSE branch because of my interest in Programming and yes, Placement too. Nonetheless, the faculty here is very good, helpful, and supportive. They have a different teaching system from other institutes. Here we have a head faculty or the main instructor of the subject and Teaching Fellows and Teaching Assistants working under them
The admission process was not that smooth but the overall experience was fine. I got admission through JEE Main in which I scored 99.53 %ile, I am a General category male so no scope for reservation other than Delhi quota, i.e., 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi students. There were no other Eligibility Criteria other than the ones for JEE Main like 75% marks in PCM in 12th etc. Then there was the JAC Counselling process and when I got a seat allotted in IIITD, I had to go there for a document verification process which was somewhat troublesome because I had to reach there at 9 AM, there were a hell lot of people and the process was not at all systematic. JoSAA did well there, going for online document verification. Other than that I had no problems. Thanks for reading.
