Jamia Hamdard University became a university in 1989 with the endorsement of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Jamia Hamdard is one of the top colleges in India. It was accredited in ‘A’ grade by NAAC and was ranked No. 1 for Pharmaceutical studies.

- Healthcare: The university consists of Majeedia Unani Hospital and HAH Centenary Hospital which are state of art world-class hospitals dealing in Unani System of Medicine. It is a teaching hospital that is actively involved in providing quality Unani medical education and training to the students. The hospitals are 100 bedded and offer healthcare at affordable costs. It is not only run by well-experienced staff but also known for its specialty services in a wide range of illnesses.
- Convention center: The university has drawn scholars and researchers from all over the world to its convention center. It has well planned and well-equipped meetings and interaction as well as beautifully designed. It is centrally air-conditioned, elegantly furnished. It is also provided with all the modern amenities of an International Conference venue.
- Conference Hall: The conference hall has a seating capacity of 250 seats. There is also a Mini-Conference Hall which has a capacity of 60 seats.
