Course Details

Jamia Hamdard University offers M.Phil and Ph.D. courses in different streams at Doctorate level. The minimum eligibility criteria is a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on candidates’ performance in Written Test and Interview.

CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/ICAR or GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the Written Test. They have to appear in the Interview round only.  Foreign students have to qualify the Online test (Aptitude for related subject and English proficiency).

  • Admission to Ph.D. in Federal Studies is based on the marks in M.Phil (Federal Studies) or other related subject. NET JRF qualified candidates are directly eligible for admission.
  • Industry Sponsored full-time Ph.D. students including that for Pharmaceutical Medicine will have to qualify NET-JRF/NET-LS in life sciences.
  • Candidates sponsored by the Industry (employed by the industry) will sit for a special test conducted by Jamia Hamdard.
  • Ph.D. Written Test consists 25% weightage for the Research Aptitude and remaining for the field selected. Admission to M.Phil course is based on the marks obtained in UG, PG degree and Written Test as given below:
