What students say about National Institute of Technology - [NIT]

Likes

  • The knowledge I gained here in college has helped me greatly in securing a position in a very reputable company.
  • I dont know about projects, but the outcomes are good because the placement is good.
  • The college placement committee is very good, and its members are highly experienced. They have excellent industrial exposure, so, with their experience, the college is able to invite more than 82+ companies for the college placement drive.
  • I think the fee structure of the college is good as it provides numerous scholarships to students, especially to those who excel in their studies.
  • The library is good, and we can access all the books from it, but we need to borrow the books in our name by using a student ID card.
  • At the price point of 10000, the facilities that we are getting in the hostel are very good.
  • When we talk about the best engineering college in India, no list can be complete without mentioning NIT Delhi.

Dislike

  • When I was admitted to this college, I was told that campus placements were 88%. However, later I found out that it was not more than 12%. Placements were only available for the mechanical branch. The electronics and IT branch students had to compromise for the core job.
  • Many times, we have found insects in food and also complained about it to the authorities.
  • The Placement Cell is working well, but we are not doing justice to ourselves, so it is a complete waste of life and one of the bad experiences.

Placement Experience:

One of the best things about NIT Delhi is its placement. The average placement is 17 LPA with a median of 15 LPA. The average packages branch-wise are as follows CSE - 21 LPA ECE - 18 LPA EE - 12 LPA. Most of the tech giants visit our college, and core electronics/electrical companies also visit but they hardly recruit from UG students. The Top recruiters are Microsoft, Intel, Qualcomm Swiggy Atlassian Samsung

Remarks:

To enter into any NITs, You have to give JEE mains examination conducted by NTA. You can fill out the application form on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination will be held twice a year(generally) in the month of January and April. In the year 2023, the form fee for boys(GEN/EWS/OBC) is 1000 and for SC/ST/Females is 500. Yes, there are category reservation benefits for (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) and there is also a female quota, i.e. 20% of the seats are reserved for female candidates.

Remarks:

I am Vivek Patidar, currently undergoing BTech in CSE from the national institute of technology Delhi. I am another state student. I am here to share my college review. I have completed my first semester online and the latter 2 semesters offline. Thus hereby I see myself in a good position to give an honest review of my college. It may happen that your perspectives of the college do not match my review because it changes from person to person.
