Ques. Are there any single occupancy hostel rooms in NLU Delhi for the LLB hons students?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 14 Sept 21

Ans. One of my friends graduated from NLU Delhi and also after checking the reviews online, I can share these details about the hostels, which might be useful for you.  There are no single occupancy hostel rooms provided in NLU Delhi for the LLB Hons. students.  Students studying in NLU Delhi definitely won’t be provided any single occupancy hostel rooms for the first year. But there are a few rooms available in the hostel that the management can allow you to use as a single occupancy hostel room, only if they are not occupied already. Do keep in mind that a single occupancy hostel room here, only means a bed, a table and chair, a wardrobe, and electrical plug points and implements. No separate bathroom or anything of the sort is facilitated.Read more

Ques. How much money do we initially require to get into NLU Delhi?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 14 Sept 21

Ans. One of my cousins graduated from NLU Delhi and having read online reviews of the alumni, here are some things I got to know regarding your query. Initially, you need a good AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) score to get into NLU Delhi. You will have to pay the admission fees and tuition fees as per the University’s guidelines.  You can opt for an education loan also. The fee comes to be INR 1.38 Lakhs for the first year and for the next four years, the fee to be paid is INR 1.25 Lakhs. The total fee would be 6.40 Lakhs. If you are also preparing for the CLAT exam, you need to understand the changes in the pattern and their effect on you. It is also important to understand the pattern of the paper over the years. Ques. How are placements at NLU Delhi? Do the government of India undertaking companies like SAIL GAIL etc. offer jobs there?

● Top Answer By Debdeep Majumder on 14 Sept 21

Ans. One of my friends graduated from NLU Delhi and here are some things I got to know from him.  The placement scenario at NLU Delhi is one of the best amongst all law colleges in India. Big law firms from India and abroad come here to recruit students.  Many students also bag PPOs with huge salary packages and beneficial perks. The top recruiting sectors of NLU Delhi are Indian & International Law Firms, Corporate Sectors, and Private Sectors.  The top recruiting companies of NLU Delhi are Trilegal, OYO, Steel Authority of India Limited, Khaitan & Co, and many more. Particulars NLU Delhi Placement percent 100% Average salary INR 12 LPA Median salary INR 16 LPA Lowest salary INR 3 LPA You can also refer to the previous years’ placement records of National Law University Delhi for more information. Coming to the second part of your question, public undertaking companies also give job offers to the students in NLU Delhi. Even from my college, NLU Assam students have been offered jobs by government undertakings such as Power System Operation Corporation Limited.Read more

Ques. Is it true that 50% of the total seats in NLU Delhi will now be reserved for Delhites?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 14 Sept 21

Ans. As per the AILET's official announcement, around 50% of the 110 undergraduate level merit seats at NLU Delhi are reserved for students who are a resident of Delhi.  10 seats are allocated for direct admission based on merit divided evenly between foreign nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).  This 50% reservation of seats at NLU Delhi would also be applicable for the incoming up to 70 one-year LLM candidates, as well as the other reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Persons with Disabilities).  Make sure that you go through all the criteria for the reservation applicability. Read more

Ques. Even after considering the AILET tougher than the CLAT why do most of the top rankers (of both CLAT and AILET) choose NLSIU over NLU Delhi?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 14 Sept 21

Ans. Although AILET is more difficult than CLAT, this does not imply that NLU Delhi is better than NLS. If you look at the placement reports of both these colleges, NLS has done significantly better than NLUD. The weather is also a big influence here; Bangalore has a pleasant environment, but for Delhi, the weather conditions may become a bit harsh for some times especially during summers.  For your reference, the placement of NLU Delhi for the year 2020 is mentioned in the table below: Particulars Statistics No. of Students placed (B.A.LLB) 45 No. of Students placed (LL.M) 8 Median Package offered (B.A.LLB) INR 18 Lakhs per annum Median Package offered (LL.M) INR 8 Lakhs per annum You can refer to the placement report NLSIU Bangalore in the table given below: Particulars Statistics Students registered for Placements 58 No. of PPO 23 Highest Package offered INR 18 Lakhs per annum Lowest package offered INR 15 Lakhs per annum Top Recruiters L&L Partners, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, ICICI Bank, Societe Generale etc If you attend NLUD, you will have incredible opportunities because you will be living in a city with India's best High Court and Supreme Court. On the other hand, Bangalore is an MNC hub, you will get corporate employment and internship opportunities there.  Furthermore, NLSIU is recognized as the "Harvard of the East," implying that this college has surely done something worth the recognition that it receives.Read more

Admission :

I got admission by writing AILET, an entrance exam held all over India through which every year a batch of around 80 students is selected based on merit. I had other options given that I was from science background.

Remarks :

I have gotten a lot from this writing course specifically and also from the whole program. Thank you for going out of your way to help. I really enjoy the opportunity this program offers, and I plan to continue to show this in my work.

Admission :

I am pursuing an LL.M.(Master of Laws) program from National Law University. All candidates should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) for admission. The detailed notification for the AILET was published in leading national papers and on the University website. I passed the eligibility criteria luckily with the help of the ST quota and I have also scored more than 55% and above in my LL.B course. So that is how I got the admission and got to study in this Law University.

Remarks :

NLU is one of the Best Law Colleges in India. The University provides instruction through lectures, seminars, and tutorials. If you want to be a successful Lawyer, then National Law University is the one for you. The University has the advantage of inviting sitting and retired judges from the Supreme Court and the High Court, leading lawyers, etc.for lectures. So, so far hands down, this is the best University for the students pursuing Law’s studies.
