National Museum Institute Admissions

Admissions to all courses are made solely on the basis of the entrance examination scores, conducted by the college itself. This written test is of one-hour duration. Post the examination, there is also an interview, which will be conducted by a Joint Selection Committee for MA programs, and by the Research Advisory Committee for Ph.D. courses. Candidates seeking admissions to MA courses are expected to pass (50% marks) the written entrance test and interview. Keeping in view the number of seats available candidates shall be admitted in order of merit.

National Museum Institute Scholarships

The Institute does offer scholarships to meritorious students, and there are fellowships also available. It offers 8 merit scholarships each for the M.A. students out of which one scholarship is reserved for the ST/ SC category students.

The criteria for selection are based on the cumulative percentage of marks obtained by the students at the end of each preceding semester. The duration of the scholarship shall be limited to a maximum of three semesters. The recipient of the scholarship shall have to maintain 66.4% attendance during the scholarship tenure.

  • Library: National Museum Institute’s library contains approximately 6000 books on Art History, Museology, and Conservation. The library also contains about 67,000 slides covering a wide range of subjects from architecture to illuminated manuscripts, painting, sculpture, prints, and decorative arts. It is fully automated with New Generation Library Management Software. 
  • New Campus: A new campus is being built in Noida which will have the following facilities: Auditorium, Laboratory, Library, Classrooms, Office Complex, Hostels for Boys & Girls, Conference Room, Guest House, etc.
