Course Details

Delhi University B.El.Ed admission 2024 for all affiliated colleges is expected to start in the month of June 2024. Admission to the B.El.Ed program will be based on scores obtained in the CUET UG examination, conducted by NTA. CUET UG 2024 exam will be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024. Registrations for B.El.Ed admission at DU affiliated colleges will be done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG) Portal @ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Delhi University B.El.Ed course is a full-time professional degree course with a duration of four years.
B.El.Ed. is offered in eight women colleges of DU. The course is offered to only female candidates.
Delhi University offers B.El.Ed. course in both English and Hindi keeping in with the norms of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
The minimum eligibility requirement to apply for B.El.Ed Admission at Delhi University is 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in any stream and must have scored minimum pass marks in each of the four subjects.
The fees for B.El.Ed course offered at various affiliated colleges of DU ranges from INR 33,000 - INR 78,000.

Delhi University B.El.Ed Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for admission to the B.El.Ed. program at Delhi University must have the following educational qualifications obtained from any of the recognized board/institutions:

The candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary (Class XII/10+2) examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks in aggregate and must have scored minimum pass marks in each of the four subjects.
The best four subjects must include a compulsory language subject (English/Hindi) and any three subjects from the following subjects- Any one language (other than the one chosen first), Biology or Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics, Economics, History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology and Business Studies/Accountancy/Computer Science/Informative Practices.
The candidate must have studied Hindi/ English, Maths, Science, and Social Science till Class X.
Only female candidates can apply for the B.El.Ed. course in DU.

Delhi University B.El.Ed Admission Criteria

Candidates applying for B.El.Ed admission at Delhi University must clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG). Those who qualify the entrance examination will be required to register on Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for seat allocation. The admission process includes three phases, in the first phase aspirants are required to fill the CSAS portal by visiting the official website – ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Phase 2 includes filling out programs and college preferences and seat allotment will be done in the third phase. The university will be conducting multiple rounds of seat allocation based on the colleges and programs combination filled by students. Selected candidates then can choose to accept/freeze or upgrade their seats by the given date. Upon acceptance of a seat, the respective college will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the fee payment.

Candidate must appear in CUET in the following subject combination:

Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combinations of subjects.

DU B.El.Ed Application Process Through CUET UG

Candidates must visit the official CUET UG official website - cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it.
After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully.
After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents.
Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future reference.

DU Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Application Process

Visit the official website of Delhi University – admission.uod.ac.in or CSAS portal – ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
Click on “Register” in the menu bar.
Read all the information carefully and then click on “proceed”.
Enter your personal and academic details.
Submit the necessary documents such as a photograph, signature, class X marksheet, category certificate.
Pay an application fee through credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI/etc.
Submit the application form.
Take a printout of application form for future reference.

Delhi University B.El.Ed Course Details

The University of Delhi offers a full-time four-year B.El.Ed. program keeping in with

NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) norms. B.El.Ed. is considered as a professional program for the study of Elementary Teacher Education. The course is offered in eight colleges of DU. The program aims to develop in-depth knowledge and specialization in education.

The B.El.Ed Program involves both compulsory and optional theory papers, compulsory practicum courses, and a comprehensive school internship experience.

For theory courses, 30% weightage is given to internal assessment. Practicum courses are assessed internally. The student needs to score at least 40% in each theory paper, 45% in the written paper plus internal assessment, 50% in all practicum courses taken together, and 50% in the overall aggregate for each year.
