Why are IIM A, B, and C valued over FMS, Delhi when the difference between the fees are so high?

People often pose the question that despite the high fees, why do some people still prefer IIMs over FMS? Well, I think I can answer it with confidence since my father is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. He told me that he was able to transform into a new person all because of IIM Ahmedabad. He was able to achieve many impossible things just because he chose IIM Ahmedabad. I have mentioned a few points that will help you understand what I mean After completing his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad he was able to pursue a technical MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from North America. He is now well settled in the US. He thinks it would have been impossible to move out of India had he not chosen IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad gave him the mindset and skills of finding opportunities in life and businesses and making the most out of them. The case-based pedagogy helped him tackle all kinds of problems he encountered in his life, be it scientific, academic, or business. It gave him the confidence to start his own business. Although it did not go quite well he still was proud to have the guts to try it. He had the excellent opportunity to learn from the best peers who were handpicked from a group of 80,000 applicants. So IIM Ahmedabad is still preferred over FMS. It has its own brand value which will continue to shine over the years.

Why is IIM Bangalore not rated as highly as IIM Calcutta? Why doesn't it have any notable alumni like IIM Ahmedabad and Calcutta? Is it worth the money?

There is no point in comparing IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta because each is unique in its own right. Instead, choose one specific parameter to compare each IIM against because each is strong in that area. There are students with a CA AIR 16, CFA Level 3, students who worked in Dubai for 5 years and at Goldman Sachs for 3 years, and all of them are extremely well-read. It appears to be worth the money. IIM Bangalore has completed 100% of its MBA summer placements for the class of 2022-24. During the IIM Bangalore summer placements 2022-24, 529 students were interviewed and 539 offers were made. During the IIM Bangalore MBA (PGP and PGP Business Analytics) placements in 2022, a total of 137 companies visited the campus and 662 offers were made. Furthermore, the average package offered by IIM Bangalore during MBA placements in 2022 was INR 33.82 LPA.

Which is the best among IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta for finance?

Without second thoughts, IIM Calcutta is the finance capital of India. People might think my opinion is biased but in reality, it is based on facts and its reputation today. Some factors that justify its fame in the finance sector are as follows: Location: The nearness to reputed Institutions well connectivity is indeed the most remarkable thing about IIMC. The superior faculty renowned for Economics and Business Policies add to its worth. First mover advantage - This has helped IIMC to gain critical mass quickly. The senior alumni took over notable positions in the industry. Also Then the constant hard work to sustain its position - it overcame periodic economic crises and always strove to supply high-performing management professionals who could thrive in such situations. Being one of the oldest institutes, it enjoys a strong alumni network. Consistency: IIMC was consistent in its efforts to gain fame and climb the ladder. It overcame economic crises and was always able to supply high-performing management professionals irrespective of the dire situations. All this has rightfully made IIMC the finance capital of India and its a fact not an opinion.

How would you rank the following business schools, ISB, IIM A, B, C, L, XLRI, FMS, and SPJIMR?

The ranking order of these B-Schools is as follows. IIM A > IIM B > IIM C > IIM L > XLRI > FMS > SPJIMR > ISB. This ranking order is based on various parameters like academics, faculty, alumni base, location, ROI, brand value, batch size, etc. Although this is a general ranking. For certain specialization or some specific factor, the ranking will be different. For example, if we talk about HR specialization, XLRI will be ranked above all the other colleges. XLRI HRM is the best Human Resource Management program in the Asia Pacific region.

The placement process starts from the time we join the campus. It is a cluster cohort system, with an aim of right fit for every student.. For first-year students after completion of Term 1, a Summer internship takes place, and for second-year placement start after 5th term. Many companies visit campus offering various profiles in Finance, consulting, marketing, IT, product management, real estate, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals. 190 recruiters offered 220 offers during the last season. However, it is confidential to share the name of the companies. Highest package was Rs. 1.12 CTC, an average of Rs. 36.2 LPA in India. International offers had the highest package of $150,297. 100% of opted students got placed in the last season. My plan includes working for an MNC for 5-10 years and setting up a Startup.The highest

The best B school of India: IIMA

Internships Opportunities:

Companies from various domains visit IIMA for a summer placement. Consulting, Product management, sales marketing, General Management, Finance, and operations are a few domains of preferences of the students. Details of the report and average stipends can be found on the IIMA website.

Placement Experience:

The PGP first-year students sit for the summer placement in November, whereas the PGP second-year students sit for lateral placement in January and final placement in February. The company's details and average packages can be found on the website of IIMA. After my degree, I plan to work for a few years before going for my own start-up.
