Saurashtra University has multiple departments offering several courses at UG, PG and Doctoral levels. All the courses are offered in diverse disciplines. Saurashtra University is State University, accredited Grade 'A' by NAAC. It is one of the pioneering universities in Gujarat. It was established in 1967, after the Saurashtra University Act was passed by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat in 1965. Saurashtra University has a Placement & Training Cell which works efficiently so that the students of the university get placed in the top-notch companies. Library: The library of the university was started in 1967. The central library has a good stock of books, periodicals along with e-journals. There are a total number of 4600 e-journals. It functions with a collection of over 216130 books.
Hostel: Saurashtra University has 3 boys and 4 girls hostels with all the basic amenities such as wifi connection, dining hall, sports equipment etc. The accommodation facility of the university is quite impressive in affordable price. Hostel charges INR 2000.

A brief guide for the BHMS course

Firstly clearing neet exam and then registaring online on medadmgujarat website and then filling colleges regarding merit and then submitting documents to the help centre and finally paying fees to complete the admission

The BHMS course is all about treating the patients via the Homoeopathic medicine, in this course the students are taught about the Homoeopathic mode of treatment which includes subjects like Homoeopathic pharmacy, organon of medicine and materia medicine other subjects are the same as MBBS, I chose the course because homoeopathy is a growing pathy in the world and it is all about curing disease without harming the patients. There are about 2-3 faculty per subject including HOD and assistant professor, the faculties are either MD or compulsorily have a BHMS Degree. Teaching is done via books, presentations and practically in lab and hospital opds so that students can train themselves how to treat the patients and behaviour with them. The exams are taken annually and 2 internal college exams, the main result is theory and viva in which the student must score 50% marks to be considered a pass.

Saurashtra University my opinion

The eligibility is a minimum of 55% in the 12th. The application form has to be filled out online it was a smooth process. For the EWS category, I have availed of fee reduction and scholarship. The overall admission process is good.

I have chosen according to my interest subject. The faculty ratio is 25 students 1 faculty. All the faculty was Ph.D. Exams were semester-wise. Moderate-level examination. All the faculty is knowledgeable and encouraging.

Go for RUHS !!!!

Admission to this university is through a very reputed and known exam called NEET UG. Every candidate has to give this exam and needs to score well in this exam. NTA conducts the exam every year in the first week of May and the details can be availed from the official website of NTA NEET. The reservation benefits give opportunities to students from the backward area and also offer exemption from tuition fees. The admission process is very neat and clean and students are allowed college on the basis of marks. The Rajasthan University of Health and Science is one of the best universities for graduation in the medical field.

The course is of 5 and a half years including a compulsory internship of one year. The faculty members are very supportive and helpful in nature. I chose this course because I personally had a lot of interest in being a doctor and serving mankind. There is a lot of faculty in each department and have a fine student-to-faculty ratio. Faculty members are well-qualified and most of them are doctors. Term exams are of good level and yes it's a bit difficult to pass, but a hardworking student can easily take over it.
