Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya was established in the year 1963 by Bhagat Phool Singh. The university expanded over time and gave rise to 6 constituent institutions:

  • BPS Memorial Girls’ College (1967)
  • BPS College of Education (1968)
  • MSM Ayurvedic College (1973)
  • BPS Mahila Polytechnic (1984)
  • TIG Bhainswal Kalan(1999)
  • PSD Girls’ Law College (2003)

Furthermore, the university has established its two Regional Centres at Kharal (Jind) and Lulla Ahir (Rewari).
