Chitkara University was established in 2008 under the UGC act of 1956. The University is managed by Chitkara Educational Trust. It is a NAAC-accredited Government -recognized University. It has two schools under its management namely – Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology, Chitkara and School of Hospitality Management.
Chitkara University offers BE, ME and Ph.D. programs in various specializations. The University also offers 3-year B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.
- The minimum eligibility for BE admission is a candidate must have passed10+2 with at least 60% marks.
- Admission to BE is done on the basis of JEE Main.
- The candidate seeking admission for the ME course must have done BE/B.Tech. with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Selection to M.Tech. is done on the basis of scores obtained in an entrance test and performance in a personal interview, both which will be conducted by the University.
- For Ph.D., the candidate must be a postgraduate in relevant field with minimum 60% marks or equivalent accepted by the University.
- B.Tech candidates with CPI of 8.0 or 75% marks (CPI-7.0 for IIT) can also apply for the Ph.D. program in respective fields.
- The admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the Ph.D. Entrance Exam and a Personal Interview conducted by the University.
- The minimum eligibility for B.Sc. is a candidate must have completed 10+2 in science stream.

Chitkara University BE Admission 2023
The Chitkara University offers BE course in 3 specializations. The courses are also offered through lateral-entry admission program for Diploma holders. The BE courses are offered in the Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology.
The basic eligibility for BE course is a candidate must have passed 10+2 examinations with minimum 60% marks and 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or equivalent accepted by the University. For B.E (lateral-entry) admission, the candidate must have a Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government with minimum 60% marks.
The University conducts counseling for all the eligible candidates to secure admission for B.E courses. Selection is done on the basis of JEE Main scores. The counseling date will be announced after the declaration of JEE-Main result.

Key Points:
- Only candidates born on or after October 01, 1996 can apply for the course.
- Candidates with B.Sc. degree can also apply for BE lateral-entry program, they should have studied Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or in UG level.
- The counseling process will be conducted on Merit-cum-choice basis.
- The marks obtained will not be rounded off to meet the eligibility criteria (59.99% will not be considered as 60%)

Chitkara University ME Admission 2023
The university offers two years full time ME program in three specializations. The PG course is offered in the Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology.
The candidate seeking admission for ME program must have done BE/ B.Tech. with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination from a recognized University.
Selection is done on the basis of previous year academic merit.

Chitkara University offers 3-year full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at the UG level. The course is offered in the Chitkara School of Hospitality Management.
The minimum eligibility for B.Sc. is candidate must have passed 10+2 in science stream from the recognized board.
The admission process for the B.Sc. course is conducted by the University and is based on the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examinations.

Chitkara University Ph.D. Admission 2023
Chitkara University offers the Ph.D. program in four disciplines. The candidate seeking admission for Ph.D. must have done ME/M.Tech in relevant discipline with minimum 6.5 CPI or 60% marks (or) must have done B.Tech./BE (other than IIT) with minimum 8.0 CPI or 75% marks or Bachelor’s Degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with minimum 7.0 CPI or M.Sc. in relevant field with minimum CPI 7.5.
The admission criteria for the Ph.D. program is based on the entrance exam and interview conducted by the University.

- Fill the form with all relevant and authentic information.
- Suffix the recent passport size photograph and Sign the form.

The application fee of INR 1100/- has to be sent along with the form through Demand Draft, drawn in favor of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh.
Documents Required:
- Attested Certificate and Mark sheet of Class X & XII.
- Migration Certificate from the last Board/ University.
- Two recent passport-sized color photographs with your name & date of birth clearly written on the reverse.
- Copy of Rank Card/in case result has not yet declared a copy of Admit Card for class 12th & JEE-MAINS 2018 is required (only for B.E. admission)
- An affidavit signed by Executive Magistrate/ Notary is required in case of a gap in studies.
- Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from the authorized medical centers.
