Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla offers a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Legislative Law (B.A. LLB Hons.) course for a duration of 5 years.

The minimum eligibility to apply for the B.A. LLB (Hons.) courses offered at HPU is 10+2. The selection of candidates is purely merit-based.

HPU B.A. LLB (Hons.) Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B.A. LLB course offered at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 from a recognized board.
5% relaxation is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Shall be of maximum 20 years of age as of July 01, 2021.
2 years of relaxation is given in the maximum age limit to SC/ST candidates while 7 years of relaxation is given to physically handicapped candidates.

HPU B.A. LLB (Hons.) Admission Criteria

Admission to the B.A. LLB (Hons.) course offered at HPU, Shimla is based on the marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent examination followed by the counselling process. The merit list shall be prepared by the University Institute of Legal Studies, H.P. University.

The reservation criteria for admission of B.A. LLB (Hons.) are as mentioned below:

How to Apply?

Visit the HPU official website @hpuniv.ac.in.
Click on the ‘Register now’ button to create the new account.
Select the B. A. LLB (Hons.) course and fill in the necessary details thoroughly.
Upload the necessary documents as prescribed and photo and signature on the application form.
Make a payment of application fee online or offline through debit card/credit card / e-challan /net banking.
To make the payment offline you need to download the e-challan, fill in the details and submit the fees payable to the finance officer, Himachal Pradesh University to the nearest branch of the bank through an IPO / Bank draft.
Take a printout of the e-receipt and application form for future references.
